$1,000

We took our 16 year old cat to have her teeth cleaned, at the urging of the doctors at Cilley. It cost around $600 and we felt like we were doing something good for our pet. The doctor removed one tooth, and performed the cleaning (as we found out later, he left a tooth behind that was not connected to the root.)

About 2 months later, we noticed a lump in her jaw, and took her back

to Cilley. The doctor told us he suspected she had a mass (tumor) behind her eye. The doctor "flushed" the infected tooth area, and collected a sample of the mass using a needle. The sample was sent for a biopsy. The next day our pet began bleeding severely from her mouth and we took her to the emergency room. The doctor took an x-ray and told us the mass was severe and that she would not improve.  He recommended euthanasia. We had our sweetheart put to sleep soon after.
