My new 2014 was losing 1 quart of oil every 1,600 miles from the beginning and the amber oil light alerted me to this. I took it in for an oil consumption test because research led me to believe that my car was assembled with bad piston rings. The Service Dept. men repeatedly lied to me and assured me it was normal or that it wasn't happening. I had been photographing the dash every time the oil light came on so the mileage and date stamp would show proof.
When they did the oil consumption test at 1,200 miles, they fudged the answer so they didn't have to deal with the low corporate pay rate for the work.
I took my car to a different dealership and they dealt with it professionally and honestly.
