Septic Tank Service, Drain Cleaning + 1 more
Nick arrived on time and performed the drain cleaning well and fast. Whole job took less than 15 minutes to complete.
Charged $242 + $50 extra weekend service charge for a total of $292. Would definitely use him again. Had a similar problem
some 12 years ago and Rotor-Rooter did a good job back then. Relatively expensive for the time on the job but kept the water out of my basement over the weekend after a heavy rain.
Note: Had first called Beard Sewer and Drain from Newport/White River Junction
who charged $175 just for driving to my house. (!) And then wanted an addition $395 (for a grand total of $570) to unblock the pipe
even though I showed them exactly where the exhaust pipe was, told him what the problem was, would have to loan them an extension power cord, and told him that it likely would take just 10-15 minutes to do. Would never call them again for ANY reason.

Septic Tank Service
I was initially skeptical about the quality of service when initial phone contact was made. The gentleman who answered informed me that septic pumping was recommended every two years - before asking about how large the tank was and how many household members there were. Based on my calculations from various reliable web-based resources, we only need to have it pumped every four years. Nonetheless, I scheduled an appointment to have Roto-Rooter pump our tank. I initially contacted another local septic service (I try to support locally owned/operated businesses when possible) but had problems with this other service returning my calls and keeping appointments. The young man who performed the service was prompt and courteous. He gave us his impression about how the tank looked and was performing. Overall, I was quite happy with the service provided. I can't comment extensively about the price. I didn't compare estimates etc. from other companies, but the total was $195.00.
