First, let me say that Kevin did a great job of stripping popcorn ceilings, smoothing and refinishing. They look like new. When hired to prep a house to put on the market, he really dropped the ball. The house was empty on June 20th. There was a sense of urgency, as we wanted to get it on the market asap. He was there promptly to start working. His company consists of himself, his wife and, occasionally, third person. On July 9th, I had to let him go. After 13 working days, little was done! He might say "well, you kept adding things on", but in fact, little of the original work was done, and NONE of the "add-ons". Fortunately, I was able to quicly secure another contractor. in 3.5 days, two men completed everything (including repeainting two rooms) and the house is ready to market. Sadly, Kevin is presumptuous, and takes things. "Oh, I thought that was a throw away" . For example, he used a pair of drapes as drop cloths. Kevin wants to be a nice guy, which makes it hard for me to pan him. But in good conscience, I can't allow anyone else to go through a disappointment like mine. I gave him a deposit of $1500. Lost money.
