Absolutely horrendous experience with James Shankle at JWS. Typical 11am start time and 3 day work weeks. Quoted 3 weeks total for complete installation...after 5 weeks still only had footing and foundation walls, no slab. Made first 2 of 3 payments only to have them try and hit me up for $3000 more. When I disputed the amount, noting he had told me it would only be $1000, he walked off site . When I tried to speak to James in my driveway about the bill as he packed his equipment he was beligent and told me to "F%$^# off" and he'd see me in court. Well, we're in court now. Essentially, I paid around $23000 for an incomplete foundation... or about $9000 in actual work. Still trying to get the rest of our money back. Avoid this contractor!!!!

I can't say enough good things about James and his crew. The quality of the garage he built is outstanding. It looks amazing! We get compliments all the time about how it fits right in with our (built in 1890) house. James gave us the best price to build our 2 car garage. We had been researching and talking to contractors for about a year when we finally decided to go with him. He's a straight-shooter and tells it like it is. He doesn't push for unnecessary extras or sell you anything you don't need. He gave us his honest opinion on what would work and what wouldn't work when talking about design. He cleans up at the end of ever day and made sure the work site was tidy. He has an attention to detail that my husband really appreciated. I liked his work ethic. We are very happy with the end result!
