My computer was running Windows XP and the OS got messed up due to a power surge. I had a RAID setup where every file was split across two hard drives. Unfortunately, I did not have all of my data backed up (LESSON LEARNED). The people at Vantage were friendly and professional. They charged an initial assessment fee which would be applied to the full price of recovery if I went ahead with it. The initial assessment took a day longer than they originally estimated; however, the actual data recovery was then completed within 48 hours. I had the option of bringing in a new hard drive to which to transfer my data, or to let them provide one for an additional fee. I let them provide one; although I certainly could have got one cheaper elsewhere, it was worth it to me to not have to make an additional drive to their office. They gave me back my original hard drives, along with the new one with my recovered data on it. So far, I haven't noticed anything missing.
