Jeff has performed our furnace maintenance over many years. From yearly cleanings to furnace and tank replacement, plus emergency calls. He always does excellent work and with reasonable prices. Plus I can always trust what he's telling us.

Everything is up an running beautifully. I have depended on Jeff for years to keep my old unit running, so naturally I turned to him when it came time to replace it. I depend on his honesty and reliability and he never disappoints me.

Jeff did a great job. I've also used him for regular heating maintenance and repairs over the years. He's always done a great job.

Jeff and team were professional, showing up when they said they would and working all the way through the job. They definitely underestimated how long it would take, but they kept at it and finished despite having other jobs to do. The work was done mostly as we agreed, and the system seems to be doing the job (as we are now into the heating system). I did find Jeff was sometimes overly confident that his way was the right way, and didn't want to listen to what I was asking for. While this may be the right attitude when dealing with customers who don't know anything about their heating system, it meant I had to tell him several times what I wanted. But the bottom line is I was satisfied with the work and I would hire them again.

My boiler was not working properly and it was a pretty cold day. I called Jeff at around 3:30 pm looking for an emergency service visit to get me back up and running. He arrived within a half hour of my call and got right to work on the problem. He replaced the parts that were necessary and explained and showed me why they were needed. He also pointed out a few things that needed work. I will definitely be setting up an appointment to have Jeff back and repair what's necessary. I am extremely pleased with his service.

Jeff arrived on time and completed the work explaining everything done.  He noted an issue that we needed to address concerning the chimney cover and installed our new "NEST" thermostat.  When we called this morning (Saturday) with a question regarding the installation of the thermostat, he replied in a prompt and professional manner.

Jeff was very professional about disconnecting the 1960s-era oil furnace and prepping the oil tank for removal. My husband worked with him to be sure he took what we wanted taken and left what we wanted left. So, this part went well.

On the other hand, Jeff sub-contracted the haul-away portion of the job, and the two men who moved the furnace and tank out of the basement were not so professional. Instead of using the dolly that was available, they dragged the tank across the floor, leaving a streak of black paint. They also man-handled the furnace off the concrete platform it was on, damaging it in the process. They didn't seem to really know how to move things in the most effective way. They didn't even have ramps to get things up the six stairs from the basement to the backyard. If we hadn't had ramps for them to use, we don't know how they would have gotten things out.

We talked to Jeff about how we liked the work he did, but were not happy with his sub-contractors. I think we would hire Jeff again, as long as he doesn't use those sub-contractors.

I called Jeff for my annual furnace cleaning, but I had also noticed that the furnace seemed to be running all the time without the house ever getting above 66 degrees, so I suspected something else was going on.  Jeff was quick to return my call and scheduled me within a few days.  He called shortly before he arrived to confirm my address (and I appreciated the advanced warning of his arrival).  He came with one helper and they worked quickly and efficiently.  In addition to the cleaning, Jeff determined that the switch on my power venter needed replacing (which is why the furnace had been running all the time).  He had to run out for the part, but returned promptly and completed the repair. The furnace has run great ever since.  I was very pleased with the service and would definitely use Jeff again.

Fast & simple

Very polite and courteous. Showed up same day I called and worked very efficiently. Reasonably priced. Will definitely receive a callback for any future repairs and maintenance.

The power venter on our furnace died.  We got a quote from a large, local heating/plumbing company but it seemed high so we decided to look around.  Found Jeff on Angies List and liked the idea of supporting a small outfit so left a message for him, asking for a quote.  He returned my call promptly and we setup a date to have the work done.  The morning of the date, he called to get the address and showed up within half an hour.  While respecting our home, he completed the repair within a few hours, answering questions we had as he went along.  When he was done, the cost was just under the estimate, saving us more than $400 over the quote from the other, larger company.  We then made arrangements to have him perform our annual furnace cleaning.  He is also a bee-keeper and gave us a free small bottle of honey to say "thank you".  Next time we need furnace work done, we'll be calling Jeff!

Maintenance had been deferred for some time and the motor noise had become prominent. Repair went very smoothly, performance of heater remarkably improved. I was completely satisfied.

Jeff was on time.  A price for work reasonable.  We have used Jeff's services for 20+ years for both installation and services for repairs, etc.

Arrived as quickly as should be expected.  Problem was diagnosed and repaired in minimal time.
