Thought I’d put this out there for any of you who are deciding that you need a plumber in the Atkinson area. I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND Matt from Happy Home P&H. In my opinion he performed an incomplete job, overcharged for it and made an unprofessional comment to me. You’ll have to decide if this is the kind of plumber you want for your job. On Friday 7/13/2023 I discovered a leak in my home. Water was coming through the kitchen ceiling. I did not know what was causing this. I called Happy Home P&H. I do have to say Matt responded quickly. Matt arrived and identified the issue as the toilet tank supply line between the toilet and the wall on the second floor. He mentioned that he recently had some other jobs in my condo complex as he acknowledged that our homes are on the older side. He turned off the water to the toilet, replaced the toilet tank supply line and completed the job in less than 20 minutes. I don’t know if he took a few extra minutes to check any other plumbing parts around the leak area to ensure all was in working order...but apparently he did not. I was charged $250 because it was deemed an emergency which I gladly paid. That evening I noticed that water was still dripping from the area of “The Fix”. I called Matt at Happy Home P&H and arranged for him to come back as I felt he did not completely fix the issue I had paid him $250 for. When Matt returned, before he even looked at the leak, he said he thought it was probably a nut that needed tightning at the water shutoff as the materials were old. He completed the "tightning of the stop packing nut at toilet" in under 5 minutes. I don’t know if he took a few extra minutes to check any other plumbing parts around the leak area to ensure all was in working order... but apparently he did not. He told me the charge would be $100 for coming back to fix the leak. I suggested the fix was something he touched the day before and should be considered as included in the original fix. He did not agree. I paid Matt $100. I told him I was disappointed about having to pay a second time and would be posting my disappointment on the Atkinson Community Facebook page and passing my experience onto my Atkinson neighbors. That evening I noticed that water was still dripping from the area of “The Fix”. I notified Matt of the continued leaking. Matt said he was busy today but offered to come back the next day. However he prefaced it by saying “even though I don’t want you as a customer” I will fix my work. I have decided to not allow Matt back into my home given his unprofessional comment and the fact that after two visits there is still water leaking from my toilet. I feel uncomfortable and do not want to allow a worker into my home who quote "does not want me as a customer". This was my experience with hiring Matt of Happy Home P&H.

They did a good job, were dependable and arrived on time. I would definitely hire them again.

They were quick in work and responsiveness. They did a very nice job. They cleaned up after themselves every time.

Needed garbage disposal installed on a double sink where there previously was not one. Space available under counter and existing drain pipe configuration presented more than a few challenges. Not to mention that I wanted the disposal on the sink side that was next to impossible without a major renovation of the existing wall and drains within the walls. After assuring me that anything could be done with time and money, Mark explained why it might be a better option to install on the other side of the sink, not the least of which was the sink was actually designed with different depths to accommodate a disposal on a particular side. Being somewhat stubborn in my nature, I reluctantly agreed to give it a try and said I would call him back to revise it if I had difficulty adjusting to that side. It has taken only two days and I am fully adjusted and thankful that Mark was willing to take the time and explain the things which he did. He prevented me from making a major error and doing unnecessary renovations. He was also helpful in telling me about an air switch for the disposal which could be put in where the soap dispenser normally goes as my electric setup was less than optimum. This was appreciated and I have already followed this advice. He installed faucets with motion and touch control sensors with the dexterity of an orthopedic surgeon replacing a disintegrated hip on my grandmother. ( OK maybe I should just say that he installed them effortlessly.) In summary, my rating is A++ for timeliness, for experienced skill and talent, for value received, and for protecting me from myself. I will definitely call Mark for all my plumbing jobs and highly recommend him to others.

Mark arrived promptly and took care of the project quickly and cleanly. He then noticed we had some incorrect piping in the basement. He fixed that problem as well, even though it was messy and unscheduled. His workmanship is excellent, and his prices are very fair. We plan to hire Mark any time we need a plumbing project done.

Mark came out the first day I called him for a site survey. He immediately identified the problem being caused by an unnecessary second trip under the kitchen sink, from the disposal, that was blocked and causing it to back-up (other plumbers could not identify the problem, and said it was impossible to correct drain piping). He assessed what would be necessary to install/filter the coffeemaker waterline. Mark accomplished both tasks quickly, within the estimated time. We are completely satisfied with the results, and will use Mark again!

I noticed a bit of water near my hot water heater. 
After some research, I found that the relief valve required replacing.  I had used Happy Home Plumbing  previously so I called them. I called on Monday afternoon, and was told that someone will be contacting me.  A day went by and I hadn't heard back.  My problem wasn't urgent, but I did want it taken care of.
Wednesday morning, Matt Boucher called and asked if he could check out the project. He arrived in the time frame promised and scoped out the work.  He agreed that the relief valve needed replacing, but recommended a water pressure valve install due to my high water pressure. Being in Haverhill and at the bottom of a hill, my pressure has always been extremely strong.  Matt had mentioned that it is now code. Although I could have passed on this, I agreed to have it installed. (I also had a water hammer problem and was hopeful that this would correct that problem.)
Matt gave me a verbal estimate.  I agreed and asked him to proceed.  He then left to pick up the valves and some tools.  In about an hour and a half, he was all done.  He showed me the finished product and wrote up an invoice.
I'm in good shape now. Thanks Matt and Happy Home Plumbing.

Mark was amazing, showed up on short notice, very professional, gave great advice and was in and out within 20 minutes with the problem solved! Couldn't recommend more highly!

A truly exceptional experience. Our house sustained major ice dam damage back in February. The tub/shower unit needed to be removed to enable the demo crew to remove insulation from behind the unit. Since the unit was out, we upgraded our tub. Mark came out and gave us a quote to do the work. He was very polite, knowledgeable, prompt and professional. The work he and his son did was of top quality at a reasonable price. We plan on using his services in the near future for our kitchen. :)

He kept me informed throughout the entire process. The service was fantastic. He was very nice, and I would definitely use them again in the future!

Mark was quick to respond and came right over to check out what was needed to fix the problem. He came back the following day to complete the job. He is very professional and left everything in order and clean when he left. He had to make some cuts in the wall in the closet behind the tub and he put that back together nice and neat. The new faucet looks great. He also  gave me some suggestions on a problem I was having with slow flow in some of my faucets. I would not hesitate to have him back to make any repairs or updates to the plumbing in my house.

He was very reasonable and friendly.

Plumber returned my call and an appointment was set up for next day. Plumber checked in morning of appointment to let me know he was on his way. (He even offered to pick me up a dunkin donuts coffee on his way.)  He arrived as scheduled and went right to work. Plumber was polite, courteous, knowledgeable and of  clean appearance. Showed him the leak and he was done with repair in just over an hour. Pleasantly surprised by the bill.
Would definitely highly recommend this business.

All the work was done well and things are working great!  Would definitely use again.

Service was exceptional, the plumber spent the extra time to talk with the Gas inspector while pulling the permit to make sure everything was done right the first time. He also took the time to explain to me exactly what they we're going to do and why they we're doing it, even went so far as to explain the watch outs for disconnecting & reconnecting the gas line from the stove. Very professional, and the install was very high quality.

Mark walked around my house with my husband and determined the leak was mom related to AC issues. Since he did not perform any services, he insisted on not billing us for the home visit! AMAZING! He was professional, prompt, and knowledgable. We now have a plumber for life! Thanks, Mark!!!
