The great thing about Mr DesRoche is that he has many years experience, and a thorough knowledge of old fixtures, what can be fixed and what can't. For example, our sink must be from the 40's or 50's, and the distance between the cold and hot faucets is not standard. Another (younger) plumber told us it could not be fixed, and we'd have to rip out the sink and get a new one. Mr. DesRoche had some parts in his truck, fixed the faucets quickly. They work fine now. The $500 included the cost of the new handicap height toilet, which I think goes for about $290. It also included hand-trucking the old toilet down two flights of stairs and to the curb. He was courteous and neat. He came when he said he did, he first made an on-site estimate, didn't rush, was flexible about scheduling the work around my work schedule. He was great!
