About us
We are a custom Landscape Design/Build firm based in Amherst NH. Retaining walls, paver patios or driveways, new lawn installation, outdoor kitchens and fire pits, excavation, installing new beds, installing plantings, install and repair irrigation, build water features, water falls, Koi ponds, landscape lighting, stumps excavation, if you need ANYTHING constructed in your yard GIVE US A CALL. If you can dream it we can build it. Taking care of you is our first priority. I built this business based on honesty and integrity. I will not compromise those principles. I estimate all the jobs and also work with the crew on the jobs I designed ensuring the job is done correctly. I spend the time needed to design and estimate your project correctly. I work quickly to address any needs or concerns you may have. Other landscape “contractors” are mowing businesses that attempt to do landscape construction on the side. We, on the other hand, specialize in landscape construction. We own all the equipment and tools to do the job correctly. There’s no need to rush thru a project because we have to return a rented machine or cut corners because we don’t have the proper tools or training. We won’t leave your job unfinished for days, or even weeks while the crew goes out to mow grass or do cleanups. We serve a small area right around Amherst, New Hampshire. We give you the full value of your contract in excellent service. There may be less expensive contractors but no one can match our level of service and quality, no one. Other companies cut corners but we never will. We take pride in our work because we know you take pride in how your property looks. Giving you a very professional job is our specialty. We look forward to designing your project!

"Thanks for the great review! We had a lot off fun helping you design the job as well as executing the plan. To date that is the most fill we've used on a single job but having a backyard was worth it! Thank you for working with us on logistics. We also appreciate all the cold drinks and snacks you brought us during the project. I hope you have many years of parties in the yard as the kids grow up. I'll pass the review on to the crew. Many thanks for your repeated business and the great review. Also we greatly appreciate that you supported a local small business."
"Thank you for your honest review. Thank you also for being easy to work with and a great customer! We loved working at your home. You have a beautiful property. Thanks for support a local small business. We work hard to keep our local community and economy strong. Without the support of the community we would be nothing more than a name. I'll pass the review on to the team members. Thanks again!"
"A job to repair sink holes in the side/edge of the backyard and replace plants in front of the house turned into a complete landscape renovation at the request of the customer. Irrigation repairs/new irrigation installed, drip irrigation, propane relocation, boulder wall, extending front lawn, new rear lawn, landscape lighting, extra plantings/beds, sod front lawn and removing trees. I kept extensive daily time records. The customer has a copy. The job was 5 weeks, starting 7/30 and ended 9/8. We worked 23 days during that time period. Despite rain the longest we were away from the job was 3 work days in August. I purchased a track skid steer on the job as the property is on a hill we couldn’t get traction with our wheeled machine because of mud. It was used daily. On the walk thru the last day I discussed there would be things that would need to be addressed in the future such as settling soil or washout by rain as their property is cut into a steep hill. There was a grading issue with minor washout as well as a few root balls exposed on flowers at the bottom of a hill. The customer contacted me early this season about concerns with some of the plants. I gave her information from UNH Extension office concerning widespread damage this year: Wait for the weather to warm up to see what starts to leaf out before you assess Winter damage. After receiving threatening emails to immediately address the issue I left a vacation making a 7 hour round trip to go to the house again. I took an 11 minute video. After viewing by a nursery they found the cypress had died of Winter burn and other plants also suffered Winter damage. They also found plants that still had rotting leaves from last Fall packed in them causing damage. Some of the plants the customer said were dead were starting to bud and leaf out. If the plants were diseased or were planted improperly they would’ve been replaced under warranty. No company can warranty against damage caused by weather. This week another landscaper come in and replaced 10 plants."
"Thank you so much for your review! We loved working at your home. It has been tough finding drug free and criminal conviction free help. Its always nice to see us recognized for our efforts. We appreciate the compliments and I'll pass this on the the crew. Thanks as well for supporting a local small business. We are nothing without the support of our community and look for ways we can contribute to it's growth. I give you an A+ for being a great customer!"
"Thsnks so much for a great review. Weather in New Hampshire is a pain but we do our best to work around it! We loved doing your walkway and beds. It really made the front of your home look great! We look forward to working with you in the future. Thanks so much from supporting a local small business. Without you we would be nothing. I'll pass the review on to the crew. Thanks again!"
"Thank you for the compliments! You were such a pleasure to work with. The system certainly worked out well this year with the drought! I look forward to seeing your lawn mature over the next couple of years. I also want to thank you for supporting a local small business. Your business is appreciated. I will pass this review on to the crew. In addition, we also wanted you to know that 1% of the invoice will go to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. Their Support Services Fund is used to help local breast cancer victims pay for treatment and household expenses when they need it the most. Thank you again for your kind review."
"Thanks so much for the review. I hoped we helped the house sell wit the improvements. Thanks for supporting a local business. We try hard to keep our local economy strong. Thanks too for helping us support a cause that is close to our heart, New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. We like donating to support their Support Services Fund. It goes directly to local families affected by breast cancer. Our customers make this possible. Thanks again and we look forward to serving you again."
"We really try hard to please customers. I spent nearly three hours at the home going thru options for landscaping the property. The work desired was too extensive for the budget allocated for the job. I understand that the yard makeover TV shows can renovate an entire property with a new driveway, a paver walkway and patio, custom built planter boxes, extensive plantings, an irrigation system and sod for 10 thousand dollars but I cannot. They get paid to do the shows with advertiser money. I am sorry, I cannot take on the amount of work without a realistic budget. Please consider our other reviews or ask us for references where we performed extensive projects and were competitively priced and were able to please the customer."
"Thank you for the compliments! Giving you only the best in quality and service is what we excel in. It nice to be recognized for doing a good job. I will certainly pass this review on to the guys that did the work. We really like to connect with our customers and you were no exception. As our customers base grows so does our list of friends. You were easy to work with and and it was truly a pleasure to work at your home. I also want to thank you for supporting a local small business. Your business is appreciated. In addition, we also wanted you to know that a portion of the invoice will go to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. Their Support Services Fund is used to help local breast cancer victims pay for treatment and household expenses when they need it the most. Thank you again for your kind review."
"Thanks a lot for your kind review. You are very easy to work with and we look forward to working with you in the future. I know the tips you often give the guys are much appreciated too. I will pass the review to them to read. Thanks for supporting a local small business. We work hard to keep our local community and economy strong. Keeping with that goal we also donate a portion of each invoice to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. With NHBCC's low administrative costs the donations largely go to their Support Services Fund. This fund directly benefits local families affected by breast cancer. This cause is dear to our heart because we lost my cousin Ericha to breast cancer 10 years ago. Thank you for choosing Koehler Landscape Construction Services, Inc and helping us to support this cause."

"We really appreciate the good review. We love helping new homeowners get their property cleaned up. I will give the review to the crew that worked there. We also look forward to working on your fence project this Spring. I can't say enough how we also appreciate our community coming together to support local businesses. Without your patronage we wouldn't be able to contribute to our community and support the local economy and workforce. In addition, we also wanted you to know that a portion of this invoice will go to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. Their Support Services Fund is used to help local breast cancer victims pay for treatment and household expenses when they need it the most. Thank you again for your great review."
"Thanks for your business. We hate to see when when one of our customers has been taken advantage of by another contractor. Anyone can sell their self as a contractor, and often do, but we continually take advantage of the programs offered by our suppliers to stay current with advancing technology and code requirements for correctly installing things like walkways, patios, irrigation systems and more. We want to thank you for supporting a local small business. Without your patronage we wouldn't be able to contribute to our community and support the local economy and workforce. In addition, we also wanted you to know that a percentage of this invoice will go to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. Their Support Services Fund is used to help local breast cancer victims pay for treatment and household expenses when they need it the most. Please find us on Facebook: Koehler Landscape Construction Services Inc Thank you again for your great review. I will pass this review on to the crew. Tell Pierce and Maddy I said hello. I recently had surgery on my spine and have been out of commission but next summer I should be able to comedy and take them for a ride in my fire truck."
"Thanks so much for the review. We like sharing them with the crews. Removing all those trees made a huge difference in how your property looked. Thanks for supporting a local business. We try hard to keep our local economy strong. Thanks too for helping us support a cause that is close to our heart, New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. We are really fueled to give to their Support Services Fund. It goes directly to local families affected by breast cancer. Our customers make this possible. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks!"
"We couldn't be happier to know we've hit the mark when it comes to customer satisfaction! I will pass this on to the crew. You were great to work with too, and you have a very nice family. I really appreciate your business. A lot of trees came out of that area! You will enjoy your new yard and we really look forward to working with you on future projects. Thanks for your patience during our busy season too. Your support also gives me the opportunity to give to a charity that is close to my heart. After losing a family member to breast cancer over a decade ago the urge to raise awareness and offer financial support has never been stronger. We donate a portion of the proceeds of each job to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. This organization is doing a tremendous amount for the community. Their team of hard working volunteers search for ways to help victims of breast cancer when all the odds seem stacked against them. The Support Services Fund is a resource for patients who have exhausted all other options for financial assistance. Donations are used to pay for breast imaging or diagnostic services, cost of treatments (including prescriptions), transportation, childcare, or household expenses. Your patronage allows us to give back to those that need it the most. Please see our video to raise awareness that features our pink snow plows! http://www.imownh.com/our-outreach.html Thank you so much for supporting a local small business and our favorite charity."
"Thanks for the review! We hope you enjoy your new shed. We appreciated the tips. Hauling crushed stone around a house isn't easy when it was hot as it was the other day. We want to thank you for supporting a local small business. Without your patronage we wouldn't be able to contribute to our community and support the local economy and workforce. In addition, we also wanted you to know that 1% of this invoice will go to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. Their Support Services Fund is used to help local breast cancer victims pay for treatment and household expenses when they need it the most. Thank you again for your great review. I will pass this review on to the crew. Please share our breast cancer awareness video on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KoehlerLandscapeConstructionServicesInc. We look forward to working with you in the future."
Mowing service has been great
"Thanks for the review. It's nice to see a new review after a long day in the field. We hope to keep serving you for many years. I can't say often enough that we appreciate your patronage. As a small business owner I work hard making sure our customers are satisfied, employees are taken care of and the vendors are all doing their best so that our operation flows smoothly. It's only because of our loyal customers that we can give back to the community. Thanks for helping us on our mission of supporting New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition. 1% of your invoice will be donated to them. "Thanks for the review! The storms really did a lot of damage to your trees. I think you'll love the new trees we planted. I will pass the review on to the crew. Thank you for supporting a local business, we wouldn't be in business with out your patronage. We also appreciate those that support our business because we support New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition by donating 1% of our gross revenue per year. Started work by agreed upon date, completed in a timely fashion, went beyond what was required.
Gave lots of good advice on upkeep and when/how to do things.
The finished work exceeded my expectations.
"What a huge difference the work we did made on your property! I hope you daughter and her friends are enjoying the new beach for the pool and you're not mad at us for all the new grass you have to mow! We love it when we hear we've exceeded your expectations. We like opening our emails to new reviews. I will pass it on to the crew. I personally want to thank you for supporting my business because it helps me support my cause, raising awareness for breast cancer and helping local families affected by this terrible disease pay their bills. We donate a portion of each invoice to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition, They use the donated funds to help these families. Please go to your Facebook page to see the new video about our efforts and to see some of our pink snowplows. Please share our breast cancer awareness video on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KoehlerLandscapeConstructionServicesInc. We look forward to working with you in the future."
Paul saw that a driveway extension that we had was not graded properly so he expanded the area and graded it. On our request he added a new crushed stone parking area giving us more room to park without getting boxed in by snow and plows. He uses rocks from a stonewall to buttress the driveway. He tore up our asphalt driveway and put in more crushed stone to provide continuity of the parking space. He also dug a swale to carry runoff from the unpaved public road before the runoff reached our driveway.
Paul is a very nice guy who is detail oriented and knowledgeable. His quote was on the money. I definitely would trust him on advice on any kind of landscaping task.
"It was a real pleasure working at your house. Drainage is one of our specialties. One of the worst things a homeowner can deal with is water going in places where you don't want it. We hope to see you on future projects! Thanks for supporting a local small business. Without our great customers we couldn't exist. Your support also helps our favorite charity, New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition, operate the Support Services Fund which helps local families affected by breast cancer. The fund pays bills and offers a little relief to those families when they need it the most. Thank you very much. Please share our breast cancer awareness video on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/KoehlerLandscapeConstructionServicesInc. We look forward to working with you in the future."
"Thanks a lot for the review. We like serving our customers and are happy when they are happy. We look forward to coming back in the Fall. Now I will tell you that Koehler Landscape is not the cheapest out there, however you do get what you pay for. Paul uses the best quality materials and no detailed is excluded. The installation was extremely neat and the ground was restored and the work area cleaned up. Unless you looked, you would not know the ground was disturbed. All of the wires were neatly tacked into place.
If you are looking for the best irrigation installation/repair that you can get, I easily recommend Koehler Landscape Construction Services. You may pay a little more up front, but it will save you in time, money and overall aggravation in the long run.
"Thanks for your business. We often see irrigation systems that were installed incorrectly and in need or repair, or just updating. The pride we put in our work often goes unnoticed. Though much of our irrigation installations are installed underground, or in areas not seen, we put extra effort into making sure the installation is neat and easy to service. Anyone can sell their self as an irrigation installer, and often do, but we continually take advantage of the programs offered by our suppliers to stay current with advancing technology and code requirements for installing irrigation systems correctly. We offer great systems that conserve water and last for years, keeping your turf areas properly and efficiently watered. We hope your home sells quickly!"
What impresses us most about Paul is that he is 100% reliable, honest and professional. More than that, he has become a true friend...more than once we had quirky home problems and he was here in a flash. Paul really cares!!!!
Just as important, his team mirrors his work ethic - they are responsible, courteous and do a wonderful job!
We HIGHLY recommend the Koehler Landscape Construction Company.
"You are definitely one of our most favorite customers! Thanks for the awesome review. We passed it on to the crew and they wanted me to tell you they appreciated it too. We do not solicit reviews so when we see one in the inbox it is great to see who its from and what they say. You've quickly become a friend and I'm looking forward to taking your husband fishing this summer. Thanks to for supporting a local small business. We work hard to give back to our community including one that is close to your heart as a writer, the Amherst Public Library. We support Friends of the Amherst Town Library Student Art and are looking forward to seeing your grandson's art work displayed there too.
"We really appreciate the business. Without great customers we couldn't stay in business! After this brutal Winter we've had I almost can't wait to see leaves again. LOL. Thank you for the review. It will be shared with the crew. We also thank you for supporting a great cause. We ran our pink plows all Winter and brought plenty of attention to our cause but its also the donations that we are able to make to New Hampshire Breast Cancer Coalition from our work that we do in the summer that really makes a difference to local families affected by this horrible disease. Their Support Services Fund helps those families by paying bills and necessary expenses. Thanks again for the review and supporting a local business."
