Lasting Improvements

I’m very pleased with our basement renovation and I will hire them again for the next project. Brad and his team were phenomenal to work with and they helped us design a living space that was a perfect fit for our needs. The price quote was broken down really well so we knew exactly what the costs were and where we could go higher or lower depending on what we wanted. The renovation added almost 700 square feet of comfortable living space that is well lit for reading or games or can be darkened when watching movies on the big screen. They even incorporated built-in shelving that enhances functionality of the space while giving it unique character. The project ran about 11 weeks, but that included several busy holidays and they were very transparent about other commitments. Renovations this large are bound to hit snags, but their excellent communication and proactive nature meant the issues were small and resolved quickly to our satisfaction. Everything stayed on budget with no surprises. We did framing, electrical, drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, plumbing (bathroom), and paint. We will definitely hire Lasting Improvements again.

I have used Lasting Improvements to build my new deck, roof, inside railings, and skylights so far. Brad and his crew were absolutely wonderful to work with.  If I had another project, I would not hesitate in using them again.  I do have experience with remodeling; I had remodeled our prior home and that experience was not nearly as seamless as this one.  They were very conscience of our budget and stuck to it!  In addition we were able to move into the house 2 weeks sooner than expected.  They were very professional and maintained great communication throughout.  There were no suprises, and more importantly Brad always has the attitude that he can figure out a way to solve any problem that comes his way.  We were very lucky to have found them!!!!

Great!  Work started immediately when we signed the contract.  The contractor, Nick, was very responsive to our questions.  Full written estimate was provided at the outset, and we ended up under budget!  Nick coordinated several teams to cover various work, and everyone was professional, prompt, and competent.  He contacted us with any questions or problems, and answered all our questions right away.  Helped design the shape of the room to accommodate an awkward shape, furnace, load-bearing pole, etc. in a way that made sense.  Provided suggestions and guidance on choices such as carpet, paint, and fixtures.  The entire project was done early and under budget.  All around a great experience.

Work was performed in a very timely manner, professionally completed. Lasting Improvements crew was very communicative.  I will definitely use them again. 

He has been great ever since.The provider who was going to do it backed out and he came and did it. He was the best contractor we have ever worked with, he goes above and beyond. Whatever your priorities are, he sticks to it.He does what ever you want. He is very conscientious.

The service cost about $15,000 to $16,000 and the experience was fine. They were kind of busy so they were here and there and there were some kind of breaks in between things. The finished product was fine. I had them come back and fix one little thing with the woodwork but it was fine. They responded to everything. I might use them again in the future but I do not plan to have anything else done.

It could not have gone better! Brad proved to be a great collaborator and a person of high standards. From the bidding process right through to final completion Brad was on top of the process and took personal approach to delivering a great experience for us as well as a great final product. He came in on time and on budget and had a great service mentality all the way through the process. We always felt like we were a part of the decision making and that we were being listened to. I was also very impressed with the professionalism and quality of the team that Brad has surrounded himself with. I would not hesitate to recommend Lasting improvements to anybody who wants to work with a company that takes it's clients seriously, is honest and considerate and wants somebody they can work with to realize a job that is high in quality and done in a timely manner for a competitive price. Overall the best experience we have ever had getting a major renovation done.
