Blue Jay Termite & Pest Control

Got rid of the yellow jackets. They wanted a service contract, but we only needed them for the one job. The price seems awfully expensive, but the job, I suppose, dictates it. Before calling, we tried spraying the nest, but that wasn't working. After researching, we saw that a powder form of insecticide is the only solution. Buying the powder and applicator at a hardware store, plus dealing with the yellow jackets who really don't care for you killing them, was as expensive as calling an exterminator. So Blue Jay did solve the problem. It did bother us that the operator didn't wear any type of protection against chemicals or the wasps, for that matter. He guaranteed the job for 30 days and came back out the next day to survey the job.

Wanted me to sign a contract and continued to pressure me about the contract. Tried to claim afterward that the price of the service should of been more and refused to come back until the difference was paid.

I recommed them.

The representative that showed up seemed nice and somewhat knowledgeable about insects.  He wanted to perform service and had me sign an annual service agreement.  When he verbally told us about the service agreement he stated one price, which was also recorded on the contract we signed.  The service agreement had one value on it which we believed represented the annual contract price.  When we received our first invoice, it was clearly the quarterly price instead of the annual price.  We called them to discuss the miscommunication  and "Erica" informed us that this was a contract and that there was nothing she could do.  They will not let us pay for service rendered and terminate the agreement.  She stated that I should have known that the charge was quarterly since it was labeled "Regular Service Charge".  I told her that this term was not clear especially since the "Total Amount" line was blank.
Please avoid this company.  There are many pest mitigation services in Omaha, this one was not clear in their charges and was not willing to work with me at all.  I am left with hoping that the BBB can help me.

I have had several times I tried to get ahold of the office--they don't like to return calls. Had them out to take care of ants last year--finally went to Home Depot and gotsome ant traps and did it myself.  At least the man that came out wasn't mean spiritedlike the office staff.  The only thing the office staff is good at is being nasty!  Would neverhire this company again!

I have been using them for a year. I am not pleased with their service. I called them back for service in addition to the quarterly service. It took them days, and I had to call them back. They said they didn't get my message. They had just provided service, and I saw ants immediately after. They threaten their customers if they want to end their contract early. The price is okay, but I do not like them. I do not recommend them.
