Wolfe Electric

About us

When Richard (Dick) Wolfe started Wolfe Electric in 1977, he didn’t set out to be the biggest or only electrical contractor in the area. Instead, he wanted to be the best and the most respected in his field. Over the years, Dick and Wolfe Electric have earned this respect, thanks in part to his uncompromising emphasis on quality work and strong relationships. In an industry where success depends largely on the collaborative work of multiple trades, Wolfe Electric has risen to the top through Dick’s steadfast commitment to honesty, respect, and the desire to honor God in all that he does. Wolfe Electric is a full-service, trustworthy, family-owned business that believes in treating the customer right. Our staff of licensed electricians can fix or install anything from a problem light switch to a new electric garage door. With our affordable rates, we can complete any job to your satisfaction. Over the course of 1 year, 12 of the can lights have stopped working. The bulbs are good, but the can light outlets have gone bad. Wolfe Electric has been non-responsive for nearly 6 months, we've called and asked that they come out and fix the broken can lights. Yesterday and today they came out and determined that the dimmer switches were likely the culprit, that the dimmer switches likely needed to be replaced, but refuse to replace them unless we paid for the replacements.
They are not able to determine for fact that this is the cause, the onsite electrician stated, "I don't know what to do next, maybe its the dimmer switches."
Wolfe Electric is a low quality, unresponsive mess. Their electricians incompetent.

The majority of the work was done properly and on time.  Communication with the installation team was excellent and their work was good.
Problems came in when we meant with Bill Kenny and discussed specifics.  A quote for a generator came in at 300% of his proposed budget and he demanded a 2 hour response.  We later discussed a remote control system that turned out not to be compatible.  Instead of letting us know, there was no feedback.
The last issue is a jury rig fix for an outlet electrical plate installed until a final solution is determined.  This is an open action item from September 2012.
We recently (April 2013) lost a section of under counter lights.  This was reported to Bill Kenny through our builder, Banyan Homes.  No response.
I would reluctantly use Wolfe because of the individual electrician's knowledge of our home but would not use them for any new work that would not benefit from that knowledge.

Two workmen (journeyman and apprentice) arrived punctually. They were courteous and efficient. They had to go out to buy a new (unusual) switch. The two jobs took just under two hours, including the time for buying the new switch.

We were very pleased with Wolfe. They were low in cost, neat about their work and reliable. We felt that they were a fair company to deal with and they seemed to have a great deal of knowledge about fan installation and electric work. I will also say that their price was the lowest that we found for the installation of a ceiling fan in the area.

Wolf did a really good job installing our fans for us. They cleaned up after themselves, which was just wonderful because then there was no additional work that I had to do. They seemed like they did not waste any time while they were here and I felt comfortable having them in my home doing work. I thought that their prices were right in there with other estimates that I had received and I would feel good about telling someone else to use their services for electric work.
