We had a patio door installed about five years ago. We had a screen door that was not fitting properly. It turned out the threshold needed reinforced. This was a simple fix. The crew was very professional and not only fixed the issue but cleaned up before they left. We were very satisfied with this company.

Window World was great! The job took longer than the predicted day (it's an old house and nothing is easy, so this wasn't surprising to me). They came back and finished the wraps on a different day but got all the windows installed on day one. It has made a huge difference in keeping the heat in this winter and reducing the noise from outside (we had the original windows on a hundred-year-old house). I would absolutely hire them again.

The two installers, Ryan and James, were fabulous. They were extremely courteous. They took their time to make sure everything was properly installed the first time. Ryan took the time to answer any questions that we had.

They came out measured all the windows and after a few months made an appointment to install them all. there were 3 guys who came to install tbe 10 windows, did the install in one day, was surprised how. Fast they installed all 10 windows and the trim on the outside. The only thing wrong that we saw was one screen on one of the windows on front was one side was smaller then the other told them about it and they ordered a new one.

From start to finish the whole process was painless. The sales rep was both patient and professional, presenting all our options and answering all of our questions. We didn't feel rushed or high pressured in any way. The installation timeline he gave us was right on schedule. We were very impressed with the installers who arrived on time, worked efficiently, put down tarps in front of each window opening and vacuumed the area when finished. The factory made a mistake on the patio door but the correct one arrived and was installed within 2 weeks. We did not do total window replacement but opted to replace the windows and keep our original trim. We are extremely pleased with the appearance and quality of the windows and our entire experience with this company.

Removed and installed window's and trim.  Very knowledgeable  and proficient.  Work was precise and caulking was perfect. Clean up was outstanding.  Crew was courteous and showed how to operate the window's.  Use only this crew to do your window's.  House looks sharp now.  Based on their  work will have to get the siding and gutters done next by this company.

We chose this company because of the value. The windows were installed correctly and we have noticed a difference in our energy costs. It was done on time and they were easy to work with.

Window World?s crews did wonderful work.  Both the window crew and the siding crew were prompt, courteous, and professional and performed their jobs very well.  I would be happy to have them back again if I ever need anything else.  I do recommend them!

Salesman was very nice and explained all options thoroughly. Windows were ordered and installed in a timely manner.  I wish the installers were a little more thorough in their clean up.  After they had left, I noticed there were some grungy smears on the windows that were difficult to clean. Also not too impressed with the fitting of the screens - in a few places, the screens don't fit flush against the frame, so there are slight gaps where bugs can enter. Not sure if that was a manufacturing defect or sloppy installation work. I think this is one of those "you get what you pay for" scenarios.

Response from Window World of Omaha
"After seeing this review, Window World contacted [member name removed]. Prior to the review even being posted, our Installation Manager had actually been on-site at the home and had visited with [member name removed] son to discuss the concerns she had with regard to her siding. It was determined at that point, and agreed on, that the issues [member name removed] had with the siding were no reflection, whatsoever, of the work performed by Window World installers. After the installation had been completed and Window World was completely done, there was a utility box on the side of the house which needed to be relocated. In the process of relocating that box, a very small, almost unnoticeable, hole was left on the underside (horizontal surface) of one of the siding panels. This is nothing that we at Window World could've possibly prevented or been responsible for as the work with that box happened after our installation was complete. In a separate conversation with [member name removed] prior to her Angie's List review posting, our Installation Manager recommended that she simply have that hole patched with a vinyl patching compound by a company in town who does that type of work, which we referred her to, but that ultimately, it was not our responsibility because it had nothing to do with the work Window World performed. This is a frustrating review, because the details surrounding the initial concern, the fact that it was nothing related to our company's installation, and even a recommended course of action, were all explained in detail to [member name removed] prior to this review being written. In spite of that, it still was written. Hopefully, this explanation clarifies the circumstances surrounding this particular situation and punctuates the fact that we did follow up as much as possible, and as much as should be expected on our behalf at Window World."

Installers showed up after 90 day wait. ( were told 6-8 weeks). One window installed fine with no problems. The other window was  two small leaving a 1 and 1/2 inch gap on both sides. Installers said it was probably a window they had in stock instead of the special order window we ordered. They screwed 5 screws on each side leaving this huge gap they covered with scrap trim. Next day caulking cracked around window. Contacted saleslady who contacted manager with no satisfaction. The bill said we were charged $250 for measuring and setup and felt since the windows were wrong size we shouldn't have to pay that fee. Disputed through Chase credit card and they wanted a 3rd party to come out and dismantle window to document poor installation.
This cost more then $250 so we dropped it.
If you are considering this company ask your self 'What brand are these windows'. Then go look at a Pella window.

Took much longer than the salesperson told me that it would take to get the windows in and installed.  When installer came to install the garage door, he didn't have two remotes for a two-car garage.  Wouldn't you check that BEFORE you left the warehouse to install?  Garage door was installed -- looks and works great.  Finally after about 12 to 13 weeks after my down payment, window installation was scheduled.  Salesperson told me that it would take one full day for install, but when I was called to schedule install, they told me it would take two full days.  So, I had to take two days off work.  While they were installing, a city building inspector showed up and informed me there was no permit for the install.  Apparently, in Council Bluffs, YOU MUST HAVE A PERMIT.  I found out that Window World knows this, and requires the homeowner to pull the necessary permit.  It would have been nice to have been informed of that by the salesperson.  If she had told me that I would need a permit and that I had to get it myself, I would have done so. As the installers were putting the windows in, I noticed one of the screens in the double-hung kept falling down in its track from the top to the bottom.  The installer told me that was the problem with the "half-screens" and that's why he installed full screens on his windows at his house.  I was not even told that only half my window would be covered by screen and not the whole window.  I wasn't told this was an option.  More information withheld from me by the salesperson. Day 2 of install, the sliding door was missing the wheels -- very important if you want the door to slide.  Of course, the installers didn't realize this until they had already removed the old door, so I already had this big, gaping hole in the side of my house while we waited for someone to come with the permit and the wheels. Everything got installed, and I still have to add some trim to the outside and paint and touch up areas around a few of the windows that I replaced with a different style.  So far, I'm happy with the product, but it took THREE WEEKS after the garage door was installed to finally get my second remote. I am not happy with the lack of or incorrect information provided to me by my salesperson.  I spent a great deal of money on this, and I expected better customer service from the beginning.  Things were not done in the fashion that she said.  I just would have appreciated a more up-front approach so I had a better idea of what to expect out of the experience.

The windows they installed were very cheap and the quality of the windows were terrible. The guy that came to install the windows, we had to kick him off the job site; he was literally stuffing paper towels in between the windows and the wall of the house as insulation. He was also shoving all kinds of caulk in there. When I asked him about it, he said that was how they fixed it. I am not a window installer, but I was pretty sure paper towel does not insulate a home. They then sent someone else to do the window installation, which was better. However, I would never call them again.

Wanted clean & swing windows with grids. Salesman mis-marked contract for sliders, and forgot totally about grids. Salesman forgot to list that I had existing windows made of metal, which cost about $2,000 more to have installers remove old windows. I had to pay $600+ to get new sashes with grids. Was told by Windwos World co-owner that I would have to pay another $9,000 to get the clean & swing windows. We got exactly what was on the contract, but were misled by the salesman into believing that what he checked was what we wanted. If we had gotten what we wanted, it would have cost us $400 more than what we paid.
