No regrets, we are very happy with Wichita and our new Carrier furnace.
"Thank you for the feedback (removed member name), whether positive or negative it helps us to try to provide the best service possible. I'm sorry you feel that you had a bad experience. I would like to clarify pricing, though, in that we do not charge by the hour. We use flat rate pricing for any repairs to be fair to customers and our technicians. There is a diagnostic/service fee to determine what the problem is and what repairs are needed, then bill accordingly for the repair work done. We received a no heat service request from you, and were able to make an appointment for the same day. The technician arrived in the stated time frame, efficiently diagnosed the problem (a corroded pressure port), retrieved some extra tools from his truck to be able to re-drill the port to fix the problem, cleaned the flame sensor, and re-assembled the unit. He started the unit and checked for proper operation. You were billed the diagnostic fee and repair charge, with a discount, for a total of $127.30. These charges would be well below the average for reputable companies in town for the same service, and many companies who would have said it needed replacing at a much higher cost. Unfortunately, there is a significant cost to be able to provide that service other than just the technician's wages on the job, including travel time, truck, inventory, gas, office, support staff, licensing, insurance, etc., and we try very hard to minimize those costs and will continue to do so. Thank you, Wichita Heating & Cooling"
