Do NOT use Chris Vanesko. I wish I'd seen an earlier review where he disappeared with people's $ and never completed the work. You're always tempted to write-off reviews like that but sure enough he allegedly did the same thing to an elderly couple nearby. He took the money, disappeared, eventually crawled out to offer some pitiful excuse, then promptly disappeared again. DO NOT USE THIS CHARLATAN! There's a similar review out there too - so it's not just me.

Paid the deposit of several thousand dollars and Chris never showed up again or paid back the deposit. Took case to small claims court and Chris never showed up.

Chris was hired to rebuild a deck, he asked for a deposit of several thousand dollars to be put down to purchase materials. After over a month of waiting for him to begin work he agreed to meet in person to discuss his plan moving forward. He apologized and said the work could't begin for at minimum 3-4 weeks and possibly longer.
Chris was asked at that point if he had even purchased any materials for the project and he said no, this led us to have zero confidence in his ability to complete this project. At that point he was asked to return the deposit and a new contractor would be hired. Chris agreed to return the deposit and informed us that he didn't have a company check, but would be back with a cashiers check within an hour - that was the last communication has with Chris/ Vanesko Services.
I would NOT recommend working with this company, they purposely didn't perform what was promised and never intended to return the deposit check that was already deposited. Buyer beware.
