They arrived as scheduled early in the morning. First, they called me to let me know they were on their way so I could ensure my dog was inside. Overall they appeared to have done a good job, though I noticed the cores seemed a bit short compared to what I was expecting (average core depth was around 1" to 1-1/2" instead of the 2" to 3" I was expecting). My lawn is severely compacted and bumpy and the soil was fairly dry when they aerated, so it would appear they did the best they could given the conditions. Would definitely hire them again in the fall.

The provider has been hired for multiple services.
1. Lawn mowing
2. Fertilization lawn and tress and shrubs
3. Snow clearing
To date fertilization and lawn mowing have been satisfactory. We have had a lot of rain and the lawn has grown exponentially as a result. Doesn't appear that Turf Care is using mulching mowers so we end up with some long grass remnants in the yard and tracked into the house. Not necessarily their problem.
I requested that all bills be emailed and that not statements be placed in the doors or flags on the lawn. It took a couple of passes and more communication but that is now being honored.
I have no information on snow clearing as of yet (though if it gets much hotter I may request snow from above <grin>), so that would be a review at a later date.

Turf Care is awesome. If you pay up front, you get a discount. They also give discounts for being a repeat customer. Their products are great and we have NEVER had any issues. A few years ago, I thought I would save a few bucks and get another provider to do the lawn. BIG mistake! Always had issues with the lawn and had to pay extra to fix the issue. Take my word and learn my lesson, there is no better company to work with. Always professional.

Explained clearly that I needed my entire lawn and landscaping areas of my yard treated for weeds and fertilized. After several weeks the weeds were not going down, despite being told they would after 2 weeks of treatment. We then discovered they were not treating the landscaped areas of the yard - just the grass. Even though I explained this clearly in my initial call to them that this is what I needed, this service was not provided. I was later told that they do not treat landscaped areas even though this is what I specifically asked for when I contracted the service.

Provider left a billing regarding the treatment. However, they did not realize I was home at the time (I usually am not) - they only put the bill in my mailbox and did not actually provide the lawn treatment. I was being billed and they were NOT treating my lawn.

I've been using Turf Care for years and have always been happy with their service. Though they used to include handwritten notes on my bill with tips and advice specific to my lawn. But they stopped doing that a couple of years ago. I do miss that.

I have that right now and they are excellent. I have a third of an acre so there is a lot involved. My experience has been great. They are doing a good job of landscape a little bit with with the plant that are in my backyard. It's really big. So I have a few rhubarb plants and he kind of landscapes around there. It looks really nice. I can't afford to have the whole thing landscaped. They are just trying to make it look prettier and I really appreciate that with them trying to do that. They guys before never did that.

My lawn was in very bad shape. After Aeration and just first application my lawn is looking very good. Still 5 more Applications to go. I must say Turf Care did a very nice job. I was not present when first application was scheduled but Fieldman left very important instructions to be followed after each Application. Quality Seeds and Fertilization has been use so fa r.

Initially they did a fine job, and I had no complaints for many years. the past year I noticed that the yard had lots of weeds and bare patches in it. The yard was not as green or lush as my neighbors yard across the street, who was using Scotts. I concluded that Turf Care was not treating the yard properly and I cancelled. Another company came out and spot treated the weeds, and then told me I had grubs, which they also treated. Why Turf Care didn't address these issues as a long term customer was a problem for me. What really got my goat was when Turf Care management came out and tried to explain-away the poor looking yard because of "drought conditions.". I suspect that their applications were not as effective and the "technician" was not skilled to assess the lawn. Since that is what I was paying for, I didn't feel I got my money's worth. If you are paying for as service and they are delivering inferior results, fine, but telling me it's also not their fault is a cop out.

I am the technician referred to above and have more than 20 years of experience in residential turf maintenance. I stand by my opinion that there was not a damaging population of grubs active in this lawn. The true cause for declining turf was due primarily to the extreme weather conditions during this time period. We strive to supply all the necessary inputs to sustain healthy turf. Additional inputs in this particular case would not have made any significant difference. At the same time we, recognize the importance of the contributions of the homeowner in accomplishing our joint goals. Sufficient watering during this high stress period made the largest difference in turf quality. We are always willing to work with our customers to be sure that they know what role they play. The are always welcome to contact us for any concerns they may have."
