The Maids of Northwest Omaha

Cleaning always went well with few problems until new owner. She told me face to face I would always have the same team. That did not last long. Then I started getting an attitude if I asked them to reclean something. But the last straw was when she made an appointment with me to look at my broken blinds for the second time and did not show up. No call no nothing.

iDisappointed. I am not a complainer ~ Pretty easy going - Tried to make it easy on them - I told the person who initally came to give a quote I was looking for deep cleaning - there woud be no knick knacks - etc - I cleared everything! and i do mean everything. All kitchen & bathroom counter tops were cleared. I wanted floors done - bathrooms done - I was told ceiling fans are a standard clean each visit - mini blinds are cleaned - front door & sliding door off kitchen were to be cleaned - light vacuming. 
I have had The Maids for about 4 months now - I get cleaning every other week - so out of about 8 visits - twice the master bathroom toliet wasn't cleaned at all. The front door was not cleaned & that is what they saw when they entered & exited. 
I purposely left an area on my wood floors in the family room sticky to see if it would be clean. The area was smeared not cleaned.
I did call & voice my complaint - They did offer to come fix the problem - but for me that is not convienent. I do not want to micro manage cleaning people when they have been here so long. 
I would not reccomend The Maids to anyone.

We have used The Maids for almost 4 years. At first we were very pleased. A team of 4 (usually, sometimes 3) came every 3 weeks.   The team captain was Traci , who was very pleasant and would often tell me that they would do sometjing extra (such as vacuuming valances) the following week and sure enough, the following week they would arrive with whatever extra tools were needed to do that specific task.
At first we had them come early on Wednesdays. The quality of cleaning was better then but rushing around to ghet ready for them was a hassle so we had them come later ( but still in the morning) every third Wednesday. We  no longer saw Traci. When I asked about her I was told she was no longer with the company. That's a real loss. I advised Bobby at the Maids that if I knew  where Traci was I'd go there. We seldom got the same team and as time went on they arrived later and later, sometimed not until noon.
The quality of cleaning has gotten worse over time and the amount of time spent cleaning has become shorter.  The last time they left they must have thought the house was on fire. Toilet seats were up, a 3 tiered wire shelf above the tub was at a 45% angle, the rug in front of the sink (which has a tendency to hold bits of whatever is around and MUST be vacuumed clean) had not been touched. They must have been in a terrible rush to leave.
I have not gone through the house to give it the whit glove test but every picture, every knick knack seems to be in exactly the same place it was before they arrived....I really wonder what they did. I am always home when they come, I go to the lower level and do not time them. However, I doubt they were here more than 30 minutes last time.
I have spoken to Bobby in the past about what is not being done. She is pleasant but a bit defensive. I have an appountment with another service to come give me an estimate. When I have made arrangements with another company I will call the Maids and cancel their services.
 I miss Traci. If you see her tell her I've been looking for her!

Cleaned kitchen except for counters.Did not clean all areas in bathrooms and broke a tile in the process.They did come back and correct porblems.

I called The Maids to get an estimate on having my home cleaned after it was staged and before I put it on the market to sell. I talked to the franchise owner, Joanne, who gave me an estimate over the phone. She was very nice and I enjoyed talking with her. Of course, I knew that they charged by the hour for first time and one time cleans, but what I was charged was significantly over the estimate. The team did a good job of cleaning my house - I only saw the results as they cleaned it while I was at work, using my garage door code to get into the house. However, I'm still puzzled as to why it took them so long - the house was a 1200 square foot 3 bedroom 2 bath home that was VERY sparsley furnished, as I had moved most of my possessions into storage. And it wasn't exactly filthy. And they didn't do extras like washing the windows or walls or garage or anything. But like I said, they did a good job, so I might consider using they again. But I might call around first, as I can't imagine how much it would cost me to have them clean my new house now that I have all my furniture and other belongings back!

Mostly the same team comes, though sometimes run late and lose a team member which means less gets done, or they must stay longer (usually a team of 3-4 for 1.1 hours every other week, about 3PM (picking kids up at school, etc.) keeps most of team the same, and lowers charge to me, being a regular). Mostly conscientious; newcomers could use more supervision & training by team leader (quite young)..They have begun using more non-English speakers which makes it hard to communicate directly with the gals about my wishes if something needs special attention, or if there is an oversight. The team leader could do more followup and inspection of the work the newbies have done. Sometimes blinds get done and sometimes not; sometimes floor is vacuumed twice, but fans forgotten and not damp dusted. Inconsistent level of cleaning across the team and from time to time.

I called today and I got a rude employer on the phone who said she called and left a message??? Funny, I never heard a word. My husband has called also many, many times! I would say don't bother; these ladies who run this place are not honest people. I am not happy with the results or the cleaning. One of the ladies went to sit in the car while the home was still dirty then was asked to come back in to clean. My kitchen sinks were not even cleaned nor were the shelves in my son's room. He is an asthmatic and that is the main reason they were hired. I had to re-clean the whole house the next day! All the wood floors and travertine tiles had to be hand washed the next day. I am still trying to guess what they cleaned. I took the lady around to show her all the dirt in the master bathroom. They had not even vacuumed in there. So you can only imagine why I called as I was writing this huge check.

I was pleased with the work ethics of this company. They showed up on time, asked me if there was anything specifically that I wanted done, and then worked the entire time they were there. I would use them again in the future if I needed them. I did call around to 3 places and get prices and they had the best one.

I was pleased with this service. I usually maintain my own home and do all of the cleaning myself. It was a nice break to be able to have a company come in and do the work for me. It just gave my home a good winter cleaning which was what I was looking for. I was very pleased with the cleaning services provided to me. I had actually heard of them through a friend. I wound up feeling really good about the work they did here.

This company really did not please me at all. To begin with, they gave me an estimate of a hundred and fifty dollars for one entire household cleaning. After the work was done, they then attempted to charge me an additional hundred dollars because they said they had made a mistake on their original estimate. When I refused to pay that cost, they attempted to charge my credit card that additional hundred dollars without my permission. That is illegal. I called the company, spoke with the director, and that employee was fired for that attempt to basically steal money for me. Although the situation was in all rectified, I still would not use the company again. Something like that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I would prefer to take my business elsewhere where such complications may not occur.

This was the first time we used this service, but it wasn't satisfactory. Several women came but they didn't do everything they said they would. The work they did was rather poorly done and they worked about three hours.
