He was supposed to remove the old, crappy grout in my shower and replace it.  He ended up with at least 50 places where he damaged the tile.  The new grout was uneven.  There was a place 3" long with no grout at all!  Globs of grout were all over the place.  When I told him I was unhappy with all the damaged tile he said I should have read the back of the agreement which basically says that no matter what he damages, he's not responsible.  We went back and forth for weeks and he refused to do anything.  I finally contacted corporate headquarters.  That took months of back and forth.  The Grout Doctor finally said they'd pay half of having my shower retiled.  I refused that offer.  I'd already put out $350 for what should have made the shower like new; I wasn't putting out another dime to get the shower fixed.  Finally they turned it over to their iinsurance company.  The insurance company was very good to work with and ended up paying to have my shower gutted, rebuilt and retiled.
Response from The Grout Doctor
"this is not how it was .the day the job was done she looked it all overand said it looked great I do not get paid till you are happy.2 and a half weeks later. The client called to say that ther were broken tile all over and What are you going to do about it? went back to her house the next day the broken tile in 50 places was about 7 to 10 small chips wich can happen when doing a regrout and ther was no missign grout as she states .2weeks later she called to say that she wanted me to pay for half of a new shower.I told her that i would not. After another week I got a call from my corp office saying that the client has filed a complant with and that I should just let are insurance take care of it.I was still new at this and looking back I was taken for a ride I should not have just let the insurance take care of it in over 3 years I have never had a problem other then her."
