SWAIN CONSTRUCTION INC

Swain Construction was doing road construction on Ames and left a massive chunk of concrete in the road where it damaged my wife's car to the tune of $700. It also did thousands of dollars of damage to the truck in front of her where it caused a flat tire and broken rim. And instead of doing the right thing and repairing the damage that was caused by their negligence, Greg Armstrong left my wife a nasty voicemail saying they are absolutely not responsible and will not be paying for the damages. Hire these guys at your own peril. Bunch of scumbags. I WILL be getting the city, the insurance companies and the media involved.

Swain's semi truck driver obviously did not care that he completely blocked our driveway for over an hour. Even as we sat there in our car for 15 minutes at the end of our driveway unable to get out we watched him walk purposely as slowly as he could ratcheting down bobcats and loading tall orange barricades into the back of his flatbed trailer. There were no cars anywhere on our street and so he could have EASILY pulled forward 20 or 30 feet to let us out. Our neighborhood lots are very wide having parking strips long enough to easily accommodate an entire semi truck trailer without blocking ANY driveways. We were within 60 seconds of being late and leaving a 6 year old girl abandoned at the schoolyard due to this ignoramus of a semi truck driver. If any more of Swain's employees are this discourteous and rude you don't want to hire these people.
