The basement finish started in March of 2008 and was completed July 2009. In our opinion this project took way too long to complete. Approximately 15 months. There were many delays where no work was done in 1-4 week stretches. In these periods we would call and send e-mails and they were non-responsive. We had several of the subcontractors (plumbing. painting, tiling, cabinetry and the electricians contact us as our contractor would not respond to their questions regarding pay. In one case, we received several letters from one of the subcontractors (painter) attorneys regarding payment. It is our opinion that the contractor should have dealt with the subcontractors so we did not have to do so. In order to ensure payment to the subcontractor we including both the general and sub contractor names on many of our check payments so we could diffuse the situation that had occurred. For my wife and I this was a very unpleasant experience.The ratings we gave above is based on the events that we observed as the basement was completed and are our opinion of the overll service. We are please with the final product but it was very emotionally draining for my Wife and I. Although we are happy with the product we would not recommned this contractor due to the time it took to complete the project and how they managed the subcontractors.
