The charged me twice and I have been trying to get the additional charge reversed for months. They do not call back or respond to my emails. Not sure how they can guarantee satisfaction when they don't return calls or email.

The last time Stanley Steemer worked for us, I actually flagged them down in the street while returning from walking my dogs. They followed me to the house, steamed a couple of rooms and went on their way. Fantastic!
This time I reserved a time frame on line.  It was about 11:00am when checking their web site. The page indicated there were openings between Noon and 4:00PM that same day. I was very skeptical but went ahead and scheduled that time frame.  Lo and behold!  An email confirmation was waiting in my in-box, a call came from their central office about an hour later and the guys showed up around 4:00PM or so.  That, my friends, is service.
The crew was made up of Kyle Smith and Michael Russ.  They are very personable and professional.  They had the guest bedroom completed before I realized it and the two large area rugs in the living room and entryway similarly.  We squared up with Kyle while Michael returned the equipment to their truck. 
They were gone in a flash leaving clean rugs and carpeting in their wake!  Thanks, guys!

They arrived during my scheduled time frame, I was a little surprised that they didn't call before hand but they were in my window.  They introduced themselves asked if I had any trouble areas, took the time to protect my doors and any part of the wood work that the hose would rub on.  What also impressed me was how patient they were with my little ones, my boys followed them around just to see what they were doing.  They also made sure my boys understood that walking from the wet floor to the wood floor would be super slippery and they didn't want to see them get hurt.  When they were finished they cleaned up any water on my wood floors.  I gave them a B on the pricing because I opted not to do the 4th room I had originally planned on and I needed to correct him on my total charge.  He did take off the 4th room but he had not honored the $99 for 3 rooms.  They were the cheapest quote that I received after contacting some of the other companies that have A ratings.  I found the quality of work great and thorough.

Carpets are old and have had many pet stains over the years. Initially, the carpets looked very good then within several weeks, large stains resurfaced.

I have used them a lot and they are good. The cost of last service was kind of high, it was somewhere between $200 and $300. The only problem I had with them is that it had a funny odor and I guess it was not professionally done but the carpet always looked nice. It is normal after it has dried. The service is good and they call you back.

There were a few spots that they said they couldn't get out, but I ended up getting them out myself. The way they moved my furniture left stains that weren't there when they started.

A few weeks after Stanley Steamer cleaned our carpet, starting noticing the carpet turning yellow around the woodwork. At first, I thought it was how the light was hitting the carpet so really didn't think much of it. Two months later all rooms had spots where carpet turned yellow not just around woodwork but in the middle of the carpet. A month later the stairshad yellow stains along both sides all the way down. My husband talked with an other professional carpet cleaner and he told him that this is called and quot;wicking.and quot; This means that water was left in the pad and it eventually makes it way up to the top of the carpet as it trys to dry, staining the carpet a yellow color.

I decided to call Service One and see what they could do to fix the problem or compensate since we will have to put all new carpet in throughout the house. I called main Service One customer service and they sent a message to Marcelle explaining the situation. A week or two later, I get a call from Marcelle and set it up to have someone come out and look at it. The two guys that came were the ones who cleaned the carpet. Both swore they never seen anything like it or heard of wicking. They tried to tell me that the system they use doesn't allow water to go through the bottom of carpet backing. Said they did not think recleaning it would solve the problem. I would have to call manager to come out and take a look (4 hours wasted waiting for them). Called Marcelle back and told him they said. So he tells me that he will come out and take a look. A week later, two guys show up with a truck and are planning to clean the carpet. I told them that was not what I was expecting and showed them all the spots and stains on the carpet. The one guy kept telling me he couldn't see anything. I could circle and outline every single spot. They didn't know what to think and weren't sure cleaning it would fix it, might make it worse. They cleaned one stair to see if the stain would come out and told me to wait 24 hours for it to dry and if it was still there call and ask Marcelle to come out himself. (another 4 hours wasted with no resolution). 24 hours, carpet still stained . Called Marcelle again and told him what the two guys said. He told me that he would come out and bring a carpet technician with him. I asked him to schedule a specific time so I didn't have to take another 4 hours off from work. He said the would call me back. Guess what, a month later and he never did call me back, never came by, never offered any type of compensation.

The things that upset me that most was them trying to blame it on other things and not taking the responsibility that they messed up. They said it was the carpet (but they had cleaned this same carpet before and that didn't happen), then it was a low grade padding (we have the best there is), and the kicker was the dog. Come on, a minature dachshund is going to pee along every wall (12 inches wide) and in every room, I don't think so, I know my dog is house trained.

So beware, if your carpet is still wet after 24 hours, they didn't get up all of their solution and you could be in the same situation I am.

I was very disappointed in the whole scenario, which is one of the reasons I gave up and didn't call Marcelle back after he didn't call. He should have called me back and set up a time. Now we have to get all new carpet and I will never let Stanley Steamer in my house to clean it.

Loved that I could schedule service online. They were prompt and friendly although they seemed a little put off that I wanted the furniture moved and cleaned under. Carpets looked pretty good initially, but whatever spot remover they used caused black spots within a few weeks that were worse than before the cleaning. Also, it looked like they used too much water and there was some damage to the carpet behind a couch that we didn't notice for a while. We left the foam blocks under the furniture for several days longer than they recommended, but there were still stains from some of the tables that we had someone else come clean up. Would not use them again.
