The salesman played into my fears of living alone after becoming recently widowed. I mistaking signed a 5 year contract that I could not get out of. Believe me when I say that they do not have your best interest in mind. Everything with them costs $$$. Do NOT sign a contract. No matter how much the salesman puts fear in your mind.

Everyone is very helpful and responsive. Unfortunately, I do not like the cameras. The image range is insufficient to capture the desired areas. SEi has been nothing but professional and helpful in trying to resolve my dissatisfaction.

We have been customers of SEI for about 7 years now. They sold us a good quality alarm system and monitoring; we have never had a problem or complaint with their equipment or service.
We had a new front door put on the house last month. So we called SEI to come install a new magnet in the new door and a new sensor in the door frame. The installer showed up right on time, was pleasant, polite, worked well with the door installer. He did his work quickly, tested it for accuracy and left.

We have had to have them come back a couple of times to line the sensor and magnet up; evidently, steel doors settle immediately after installation, and they flex in heat/cold. They've been very responsive and had a professional installer at my house on the same day that I call. They show up on time, are pleasant and professional, clean up after themselves and never forget to return the settings to the way we like them, i.e. they turn off the door chime, etc.

I always recommend SEI to people who are in the market for an alarm system.

The salesman was professional and informative. He took his time to listen to what we wanted. The installers were on time and very professional. They were extremely neat and capable of doing what we wanted. They thoroughly explained the system and took their time to answer all of our questions and concerns.

Very good experience. The company I contacted prior to this had a good salesman, but the installer would not commit to an appointment time. SEI sent out a sales person, who agreed to add to my contract that I can cancel with 30 days notice (important to me since I just paid off 10 months of unused contract on my previous house). Installer made sure everything was working, even brought in another guy with a different tool to test the glass break monitors. Reasonable month prices...very satisfying experience

If you are considering a security system for your home - BEWARE of SEI Security. I have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I freely admit was was stupid and fell for the sales pitch so am probably partly to blame - however, this was HARD SELL and FINE PRINT tactics at it's worst - SHAME ON THEM! Last year we moved to Omaha and apparently fell for the "get a free security system" although I wrote a check for almost $800 at the time so I didn't think that when the process was done that anything was "free." We lost the job here and have had to sell our home and move out of state for a new job - this was not by choice. We no longer live in or own the property. There is fine print in the contract that says we agreed to five years of monitoring. Customer Service says too bad if we have to leave area - it's in the contract. SEI does not exist where we are going so we can't continue with them in new area. Salesman DID NOT, DID NOT, DID NOT go over all this. I'm not arguing the contract - I signed it and I made a stupid mistake in doing so by not reading everything. I do feel that they used irresponsible, hard sell, sales practices. I could certainly understand it if we choose to just discontinue the service, or moved somewhere else in their service area - then yes, like it or not, we would have to stick with it. HOWEVER, in this case, we don't have a choice and they are taking advantage of that fact. I can absolutely say that if this had been told to me up front, I would have said NO WAY as we could not have committed to that term. We have not lived in any home 5 years for the past 15 years - 4 homes just since 1997! So I can assure you, I would not have signed a 5 year deal with anyone for any service!!!! This was not explained and I don't care what they say their sales policy is. The fact that I now find out that we didn't "own" the system just make matters worse! That was not clear either. I am furious and am getting no satisfaction from SEI. I have already dealt with their Customer Service Mgr, and owner. Only thing I keep hearing is "well, it's in the contract, you should have read it more carefully." That's certainly not the sales pitch the rep who sat at my kitchen table gave us!!! We just want this ended - we don't feel we should owe them $900 for monitoring services for the balance of the 5 years considering we won't be there to receive the benefit of that service. We paid our bills all during the year we were there, made the initial payment, etc... and were not in bad standing in our account in any way. Since we are leaving the area - we should be done and if their contract doesn't allow for that possibility, it should. Anything else is unfair and takes advantage of people.

The personnel were highly professional from the start to the end. The sales person was polite, clean cut and well spoken and most importantly, knew his job. This was a major change from the other primary company in town. The installation went as scheduled. False alarms, when set off by accident, are noted by the company and we are called well within a minute's time to check. Very confident with the system to act as a deterrent against stupid people.

I am satisfied with my SEI alarm system. If my alarm went off inadvertently, they called and checked on the problem right away. The police would also respond rather quickly. The crew that installed the alarm system also made sure it looked nice in my home.

SEI did a good job of the installation. We had a few false alarms and they responded to them instantly. They also showed us how we could make sure everything's working properly. The cost is monthly and includes the installation.

When we get up in the morning sometimes we forget to turn off the system and when we open the door, they are contacting us within a minute's time. That is the only time the alarms have gone off but we are secure with their services.

There have been a few times where I have set off the alarm system by mistake and they were very quick to respond. We also had a problem with the signal not getting through to them so they came out immediately to replace the computer pad. We have not had any problems since.

I like that they are very easy to get a hold of when you need to speak with someone or have any questions. We have never had any alarms go off but I know if we did they would handle things accordingly.

We used to have them monitoring the house and they did a good job I guess, but being we never had any alarms I figured we didn't need to keep paying all that money out for nothing. If I ever felt the need to have someone monitor the alarm system I would definitely give them a call.
