Jay was absolutely amazing! He came right away and assessed the damage, told us a date, and kept us posted along the way. He removed and replaced the damaged mortar and brick, then sealed the brick to prevent any further leaking. Jay was a pleasure to work with. He went way out of his way to make sure we got our issue resolved. And the finished product looks SO good! Would definitely hire again and recommend!

Jay did a great job on the arches around the garage doors. I was very impressed with how responsive Jay was when I would reach out to him. He set expectations up front with his current work load and when he would be able to make it out to the house. I thought the bid was very reasonable and the work he did was very good. He even used the original brick that he cut from the arches to match the current brick. The garages now look great and I couldn't be more happy.

He let us know the approximate time he would be able to start the project and let us know that the weather wasn't cooperating which we certainly understood. He was able to start on a Monday and was finished by Thursday. He cleaned up after himself and we would never have even known he was there. We would certainly recommend him to someone else and if necessary would contract him again.

Jay was a pleasure to work with. He was communicative along every step of the way about the status of the job, via both email and phone. He and his crew were clean, courteous, and professional. At the project's completion, we noticed that the mortar we chose (based on a sample from the supplier) had dried lighter than what we expected. Jay went the extra mile to rectify the situation, and when the manufacturer was not helpful, took the initiative to stain the lighter portions to better match the original mortar.
We would highly recommend Savine Masonry, and will be using them again for future maintenance and repairs. Thank you, Jay and crew!

Despite a busy schedule, Jay worked with me to get the project finished in a timely manner. The finished product looks great and I'm 100% satisfied.
The price seemed reasonable and Jay was very prompt with the paperwork. The detailed written estimate and paid invoice were both in my inbox before Jay left the premises.

Jay was pretty prompt in coming to give us an estimate to do our work. The date of our estimate was March 23, 2015. To secure him to do the work, he required 1/2 down and 1/2 upon completion. We sent the payment on April 6th, 2015. That check was cashed on April 17th, 2015. We expected him to contact us to set up a date to do the work once that happened but ended up having to call him. We called him on May 1st 2015 and asked when he would be able to do the work. During that phone call we explained that we needed the job completed. He said he wouldn't be out that week and then wouldn't commit to a date or a time frame. He said he would email us when he could get to it. No email came so we called him again on May 18th, 2015. He returned the call the next day and said they would be out on the 20th. They did come and did a nice job. Kicker was that we had his request for the final portion of his bill in an emailed statement less than couple of hours after the work was completed. It was a small job and shouldn't have taken so long to have it completed in spite of all the rain we have had.

"[Members Name], I'm sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied with your experience with us. I would like to address some of the items in your review. As you noted I provided you a prompt estimate and discussed our payment terms and a projected start date. At that time customers were told our schedule for adding new work was 6 weeks out. I also said we may be able to use your job as filler work due to job size. (This did not happen due to extended rain) Your deposit was received on April 11, 2015 along with your signed estimate which secured your place in line in approximately six weeks. In this time period it rained at least 10 days that set our schedule back. We discussed during the May 1st phone call that we could not be there the next two weeks due to rain affecting our schedule but would be there the following week. It is hard to commit to an exact date until close to starting your job when we can't control the weather as we discussed. Please also keep in mind your project was still completed within six weeks of cashing your deposit. In regards to your final comment about billing we have technology that allows us to bid/bill from job site or vehicle when complete. You were billed from the front of your home. Per the signed estimate we are to be paid upon completion. At this time we have not received payment but this is understandable with mailing time. As you can see from other reviews we pride ourselves on quality work and customer satisfaction. Again, I am sorry to read that you were not completely satisfied. Jay Savine, Owner"

Jay is a true artisan brick mason. It is getting harder and harder to find real brick masons in our city. Jay is amazing. He knows the craft of a brick mason. Since our patio bricks were older, Jay worked very hard to find bricks to match what we had. Even tho he couldn't find the exact brick, he found some that were close and he patterned them in so you cannot tell they are slightly different. The patio looks awesome. Jay is an artist when it comes to brick masonry.
Jay also replaced some fireplace hearth tiles that had cracked over the years. Again, Jay could not find an exact match. But, he found some tiles that were close. He arranged the new tiles in a pattern so it looks like it was originally designed that way.
Jay is an amazing brick mason. Brick craftsmen are hard to find. His rates are fair, especially considering the quality of his work. Jay was on time to start and finish. He coordinated well with me, told me when they would start, finish and how to handle the building after the service was complete. The building was older and had been maintained by the owner inappropriately. Jay's staff did a great job.

Jay and his team were terrific. My circa-1927 brick front porch had developed significant structural issues and needed work. Jay was very prompt in giving me an estimate and his price was fair. Once I had some bushes removed and discovered additional issues Jay revised his estimate to include the additional work. Jay worked hard to get brick to match as closely as possible to the original. When the first selection arrived and Jay started constructing a wall he discovered they had sent the wrong brick and some of them were the wrong color. He called me right away so I could check it out. A couple of the bricks were definitely not what we had ordered, but it was extremely difficult to see that when they were just in a stack. The look wasn't horrible, but it wasn't right either. Jay went back to the brick supplier and got additional samples that hadn't previously been available. The new bricks he recommended were perfect, and the new porch blends beautifully with the house. It looks like it has always been there! He also fixed some damage to the chimney and completed some necessary tuck pointing. Looks great.

Jay's service was excellent. He was always very professional and timely on communication. As mentioned on a few other reviews I had to wait for quite some time for completion of the work. No doubt a testimony to his good work. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work. I will not hesitate to call Jay if any future needs should arise.

I'd highly recommend Jay to all. His communication was always timely and very professional. His bidding was competitive, though not cheap, and his conduct at all times exemplary. He had a work backlog (because of his good work, no doubt), but was very open about this and his estimate of a start date for us was very accurate. He also kept us informed of our status during the wait.
He went out of his way to find both brick and pavers to match those originally used. The replacement pavers are of a different thickness due to manufacturing changes during the lapse between the originals being put down and the current standard. He had to cut each one to a thinner thickness in order to offset the extra thickness of the new pavers, but made no extra charge for this at all. I also appreciated the fact that he cleaned up the area well and left no extra work for us to do after he left. All in all, we had a great experience with this firm and feel that owner Jay Savine is a man of absolute integrity.

My wife and I was extrememly please with Jay and his team. He met with us on several occassions to discuss our project, supplied us with reading materials on all of our potential optiona, brought over samples and provided us with a proposal. We accepted the proposal. Jay and his team did a great job keeping the worksite clean and continued to check with us thrughout the project to ensure we were satisfied with their progress and the quality of the project. He came up with some solutions to some one off issues with our backyard and left us with a waonderful finsished back yard. I know both my wife and I are not only extremely pleased but would highly recommend Savine Masonry for his quality work. He has a dependable hardworking team that wants you to be happy with your project and we were/are. That has not always been the case for us as we have had issues with a few contractors in the past so we have been leary but this experience was top notch! Thanks to jay and his team!!!

Jay's work was performed during the installation of vinyl siding by another contractor. He was particularly accommodating with the other contractor while they worked on the same side of the house. The removal of the beams was done with extraordinary care, and I was impressed with the precision with which he conducted the demolition portion of the project. The installation of the replacement fieldstone was the work of an artist. Jay carefully cut and placed the stones around the windows in such a manner as to look like the house was originally built that way. He takes great pride in his craftsmanship and it definitely shows.
