On 9/8/16, I signed a cash contract for 1 standard size window to replace an egress window that wouldn't open. I was told by the salesman and the person who measured the window, I would have a November installation. I received a letter from Customer Service stating installation would take place in 8 to 10 weeks from signing, and I would receive a survey after the installation. I was finally called to set an installation date of 12/2/16 which was 12 weeks after signing for 1 standard size window. During the installation, I noticed the shipping label with my name on it, on the new window carton stated "scheduled ship date 10/11/16". So my window set somewhere for 1 1/2 months. About a week after signing the contract, I received a copy of a credit report they had done on me. They dinged my credit a $1179 cash balance due at installation. I have had larger cash contracts with other companies, and none of them ever did this. The performance of the new window does not justify the very high price, I paid for it. On a recent cold windy day, I checked it for drafts. There was a definite draft coming off the lower left side. It is no better than the older original "cheap" (so called by the salesman) Anderson windows I have. It also does not come with a standard handle to assist with opening or closing it. I never did receive that survey. They knew I was upset about the credit check and delay. But they have managed to send me 2 emails to purchase more windows. In the mail, I got 2 more promotional flyers, a Christmas card, and an invoice that showed that both of my checks cleared!

They were double hung ones. They could have done a better job of the install and the cleanup. I had to have them come back and clean up broken glass. The quality of the product is good. It tends to be more expensive than others. But, so far, it has worked out well. They were punctual. They delivered when they said they would.

The experience was really good from beginning to end. Scott was my salesman. I used the coupon from Angie's List. The workers did a great job cleaning up. A few weeks later I noticed air coming in from the picture window and called them up. They sent someone out right away. Little John did a great job tightening everything up. Even though the 1st crew missed a final step the service I received from the company as a whole has been good so I don't ding them for it. They corrected the issue promptly. My windows look good and are good quality. I recently called up Scott and ordered 4 more windows. I expect the same great experience.

The service was excellent. I cannot say anything bad about them. The only thing is that the salesman or the person that took the order was supposed to come out and check and he never did come out. He did not bother us because they were put in fine. I was around watching them. Other than that, they were very punctual and quick in putting in the windows. It took about half-a-day and they were very clean. These are real upstanding windows. We had taken a look at several others and these are much better quality overall. So, we knew in advance what we are paying for. They came just right about on time. We are planning to use them again when we get to save up our money and I would recommend them to somebody else to, but they have to be aware that Andersen windows are known to be more expensive than a lot of the others.

It didn't go very well. We had had hail damage through our roof and windows. We called Renewal By Andersen to have them install windows that were of the same top quality that we had already had, after filing an insurance claim. The windows were supposed to be installed by the end of August, but then it was pushed out to October due to weather and family matters. The installer had to restain all of the window trim and woodwork twice because it was done improperly the first time. They were extremely rushed on jobs which also contributed to the delay, but it took around 2 days for to complete. Two pieces of the siding fell off during the work, and they never replaced or repaired the siding. They tore out insulation, although they never reinsulated the area or applied any foam sealant. They "sealed" everything with caulk, and the entire house was freezing through the whole winter. It was cold with the heat set above 70!  What we've come to find is that the windows were installed too tightly and because they were forced into place they had no room to actually seal the windows. Now we have a waters leak from the windows which is coming straight into our basement, and we know it's not a foundation problem. All my gutters are new and drain away from the site, as well. It's a serious issue, and we'd really like to have this resolved.

Andersen is not cheap but good quality never is.  The sales process was straight forward and the sub-contractor who did the work was excellent.  Windows were removed and replaced in 1.5 days with a Master Carpenter and his son doing the work.  Looking back I wish I had provided more direct oversight to ensure that the proper insulation was used around the windows.  Every window was caulked well but once the window was removed I am sure I would have spotted areas on the sides of the window opening that would have required more insulation. This is not a focus item for the installer but should be for the home owner.   This was the last of the energy credit days so we were able to offset some of the expense on our taxes.

It went well. They have a nice showroom where you can see the windows ? measuring and staining went well as did installation. We were pleased with the results.

The process went well. They were professional and did superb work.

The price was a bit high, but the windows seem to be of high quality, and our energy bills actually were reduced as a result of the new windows in our old house.   Large windows installed in a sun room make the room usable year-round where before we couldn't use the room in the coldest or hottest months.

I think the quality of the windows is very good and the installation was very quick and they cleaned up well after themselves. We really like our windows.
