Redz Painting & Home Repair

We hired Redz Painting / Steve DiMauro to complete our exterior painting and fix a couple of exterior siding issues. He was very prompt in getting us an estimate at a fair price. He was very good about matching the colors we wanted. He did not show up on the first scheduled date to paint. When the painting finally started, he had 1 guy who he left here to paint the house. He popped in occasionally to help and see how things were going. Overall, the painting that was done I would rate a 7/10. The trim is sloppy and they did not tape all windows, and the ones they did tape off still have paint/overspray on them. Most all of the screens that were on also have paint on them (when I asked him about this, he said it was not their fault and the only way to remedy it was to replace the screen). It was around 6 pm when they finished. We did a quick walk around and had them clean a few things up. Had a discussion that if anything else came up he would come out asap to fix, no problem. Our 3 young kids were hungry, so we gave him a final check and trusted he would come back if we found other issues. We contacted him within a week of completion with a list of things to finish up. He had painted our windows shut, we noticed he did not complete the trim on our fireplace, lots of overspray and paint on windows etc...The initial emails he said he would be right out. He never again returned our phone calls. He never came. We gave him into the spring of 2012 to complete it. He still did not respond to calls or emails. Finally I sent an email stating we are taking him to small claims for the unfinished work. He responded with a very immature email that said he will not be dealing with us anymore. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!!!!!!!!!
