Pyramid Roofing Inc. is a roofing, siding and window contractor serving residential and commercial customers in the greater Omaha, NE, and Sarpy County area. We specialize in re-roofs, asphalt shingles and cedar shakes on all types of residential and commercial buildings. Description of Work: Attempted to have Pyramid roofing out to give me an estimate on replacing my roof and gutters. I called on Monday, they took my information and told me that I would hear back from someone within 24-48 hrs. The week past and I still hadn't received a call, so I called them again. They apologized and told me that someone would be at my house to give me an estimate on Friday at 6:00 pm. They didn't show up for their apptointment or call me to reschedule. I'm not sure how they can run a successful business if this is their normal operating procedure.

Very happy with the result. It was a messy job since they needed to rip off two layers of shingles, and they did a great job cleaning things up. After several months, I haven't had a single problem with the roof.
Description of Work: I had 2+ layers of shingles that needed to be ripped off my home and detached garage. New decking also needed to be installed before the new roof was put on.

Estimate was given within a day or two of request and was very accurate when compared to final price. Materials were delivered a few days before they started - workers arrived early and worked long days. Roof was complete within 3 days. When weather threatened the area they made sure the roof was secure - we had no problems. We researched several companies and received many estimates before deciding on Pyramid - I would highly recommend them. The roof looks terrific and the estimate was very accurate.
Description of Work: Shake shingles were removed and new asphalt shingles were put on the roof. Old gutters were removed and new gutters were put on. The roof had a turret which also needed some repairs - all work was done very well. Gutters were put on by someone contracted by Pyramid - work was also of high quality.

There was situation where I could fix something on my own. They were able to provide me with advice on that. The bid was for $5600. They were very responsive and returned promptly to give a bid. I thought they were very professional. I will use this company in the future.

They did a pretty good job. It didn?t leak after they installed it, they put the gutters on, and they shingled it. They did a pretty quick job; it only took about a day. They were professional and courteous. My only complaint is that they didn?t paint the baseboard that they mounted the gutter to. Other than that, everything was okay.

The roof still leaks. We still have a ton of water coming through our ceiling. In the process of replacing the roof, they cracked every single ceiling on the second story floor. They refused to compromise on the cost of repairing the cracks in the ceiling, they refused to come out and repair the leak until they are paid in full, and they overpriced us $2400.00. They showed up here without a dumpster. They dumped all of the trash all over the yard. They ruined all of my landscaping.

Response from Pyramid Roofing
We are new to Angie's List and just discovered this report. We felt that it was very important to address this report in particular because this customer filed a similar complaint on the same day as this complaint to the Better Business Bureau and we were successful in getting the complaint closed. This is due to the fact that this complaint is completely unreasonable and false. We inspected the roof on several occasions and found no indication of roof leaks. We did find areas where there were holes in the siding and water was coming in there but that it out of our control. We were accused us of "cracking every single ceiling on the second story floor" which is also a false statement. The customer states that we refused to compromise on the cost of repairing the cracks and refused to repair the leak. We did not refuse to cover the cost of "damages" to the house, we simply stated that her claims were exagerated and that the estimate she provided was excessive so we would have to come to an agreement as far as how much damage was caused, if any, by our company as well as an agreement on how much it should reasonably cost. She stated that if we would take $1000.00 off of the bill to cover her deductible, she would file a claim with her insurance company. By this point, we were exhausted and had no choice but to accept this offer so that we could do our best to resolve the issue. We followed through on every complaint she made and did everything in our power to satisfy her. We told the customer to remit the balance due if and only if she was satisfied with all of our efforts to resolve the complaint. On Sept 4. 2008 this customer remited a check for the final agreed upon price. We were very pleased to know that we were able to resolve the complaint. Well at least that is what we thought. On September 11, 2008, after we had completed everything that we agreed to do and deducted $1500.00 from the final invoice, the customer reopened the complaint and continued to make false allegations about our company and our practices in an attempt to harm our reputation. Upon investigation by the Better Business Bureau the complaint was closed and they stated that our company made a good faith effort to resolve the issue. It is unfortunate that this kind of complaint is one of the few on this site because we understand how important this service is and how much this could ruin our reputation. We encourage customers to contact our office so that we can provide them with a long list of references that would prove that these accusations are false and uncharacteristic of our company. We truly value the opinions of our customers and hope that you will give us an opportunity to prove to you that we are a great company.

They came to seal a leak and left a bill, but it still leaked with the next rain. We called and asked them to come back and do a better job before we paid. They said they would but never did, despite several phone calls from us. We never paid and figured they had abandoned the job, but then several months later we got a collection notice! It was cleared up with one phone call to the office, but the guy who did the work had told the office that he did the work and they weren't aware that he abandoned the job. We were excused from having to pay, but it was a lot of dragged out hassle when we could have hired a more reliable person to do the repair and do it right the first time.

My roof looked good when they were done and they even repaired a vent from a hail storm. They were very fast in returning my phone calls and setting up the appointment. They didn't charge us to come back out when they could have because as it wasn't their fault. A company like that deserves nothing but a great grade.

They came out right away and fixed all of the valleys in the roof and even put a new skylight in for me. They did a wonderful job and the new skylight is beautiful. I haven't had any more problems with my roof since the work was done. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very good but there's always room for improvement and they weren't perfect but considering the scope of the job, I was happy with the end results. They were on time, got right to work, did the job quickly, and cleaned things up nicely. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I had a new Architectural thirty-five year roof installed over my entire house and garage. The roofers tore off the old roof, and replaced one sheet of decking. They roofed my entire sixteen hundred square foot one story house.
