The wrong one was installed and no one wants to correct it. Is this normal procedure with Primier Countertop?

I made a big mistake by going with Premier Countertops. The front office service was unprofessional and taking the issues to the owner made it only worse. It took them 5 months to complete our project with lame excuses, multiple reminders and some unpleasant phone conversations. The workmanship of people they hired for granite installation is mediocre and messy, they wrecked the wooden flooring and appliances in our house and their excuse was that some collateral damage is expected because the granite we chose was pretty heavy. They chipped a large piece (about 3-4”) of the main island granite during transportation; we objected for its installation on arrival and we were promised that they’ll fix it like the original. Jarred tried his best to fix it but his best couldn’t fix the problem like original and we are living with it regretting every day. The owner didn’t take any responsibility neither for the damages to our house nor for the granite breakage. On the bright side, Cory installed the backsplash and he was very patient and did a tremendous job. Also people in the machine room were very patient and pleasant (the one star is for them). Overall, I do not recommend this business to my friend given what we had to go through dealing with them for five months. My advice is, if you have a beautiful house don’t take chances. In case you did go with them, don’t make the payment until the work is done as their response completely changes once you make the payment. If you have time to read further, the following are some specific examples of our customer experience. 1. They apparently have a policy requiring 100% payment at the time of signing the contract. I would have walked away as I don’t want to pay $15K upfront without seeing anything tangible, but they did accept my business with a 60% initial payment terms and the rest after completion. Later, when we reminded them for scheduling next steps, they were irritated citing the excuse that we didn’t pay the full amount. 2. When we asked for some take-home samples for color matching, they asked us to show our IDs. I reminded them that I already signed the contract, but they still insisted and finally she said “I’m letting you take the samples home as I’m in a good mood today”. That’s so unprofessional and rather insulting to the customer who trusted your business and paid 60% of the total project cost on day one. 3. The installers were instructed to collect the remaining 40% balance BEFORE granite installation, but as per the contract we would pay only AFTER the completion of the entire job including the backsplash work. When we called the owner, she insisted the full payment despite knowing the granite slab was chipped and damaged on arrival. They should trust the customer just the way the customer trusted them. 4. We took time off for three days to stay home and attend to the granite installation and they cancelled the work an hour before the scheduled time saying that the granite slabs didn’t arrive. That’s so lame as we did the slab view a week before in their workshop. When questioned, she immediately changed the excuse saying that ‘I was looking at a wrong folder, but it’s still cancelled as the installers are not available’. They have no respect for customer’s time and you need to oblige to their scheduling, or else things will get delayed for ever.

Premier did an excellent job. I got all new cabinets and countertops and they organized everything for me, the removal, install, and even helped me getting the plumbers in to reconnect the fixtures! My kitchen looks beautiful and Premier's staff was so helpful and professional during the whole process.

The crew at Premier are the best. When my wife questioned a backsplash, Mory, the owner, ordered it changed immediately. That’s what you’re looking for in a remodeling contractor.

Premier Countertops did an outstanding job on my kitchen renovation. From the moment I first walked into their showroom, the attention to detail and responsiveness was outstanding. They were punctual and very neat in terms of leaving the kitchen clean after they finished the work. I would HIGHLY recommend Premier Countertops to anyone who may be considering any type of kitchen renovation or remodel.

Premier was fantastic to work with. Out of the many places that carry granite Premier's quality is unmatched in Omaha. They are on time and totally went above and beyond what I was expecting. Honest, friendly and very easy to work with!! If you want it done right call Premier don't chance it going elsewhere.

The quality of the workmanship and the knowledge of the installers were exceptional. They were very courteous. They completed the job in a time they estimated. And the quality product was outstanding. I just purchased a product from them recently also.

It was really good. I had a small kitchen so I actually was able to find a remnant outside at a discounted price. They surprisingly had a lot to pick from in their remnants and I was happy to get a lower price point. They were on-time. They weren't pushy about selling their own things. The installation only took about 30 minutes. They did a very good job. It was quick and easy. Any questions I had the scheduler called me when they aid they would. Overall a good experience.

It went great. Despite the circumstances, they made it an enjoyable and smooth process. They addressed all my concerns and it was a good experience. The place is just beautiful. Everyone that comes over always comments that they can't believe there is something like this in Omaha, Nebraska.

It went extremely smooth the entire time. They explained the entire process from the beginning so we knew what to expect. Overall, we were very happy. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional and punctual. They stood behind their work and made sure everything was perfect before they left.

This was a great experience!  When I went to their store to discuss granite, I was very pleased with how nice everyone was and how large their selection of 'A' granite was.  The price/sf included installation and was very reasonable.
I went to the granite yard to select my slabs and then went again a few days later with my husband.  We ended up changing our selection and our edging and had absolutely no problems from Premier about doing so.
The man who came out to measure our counter-tops was extremely nice  They use a digital templating system which was fun to watch.  
Every time I called with questions, I was treated with patience and respect.
The installers arrived on time and were very nice and courteous.  They kept the floors clean and were very careful with my cabinets.  
The bottom line is that the counter-tops look amazing!  There are two seams and you would be hard pressed to find them!  They were very detail oriented and made sure that the seams were perfect.  I have never seen better seams!  They obviously spent quite a bit of time in the design process to ensure that the pattern in the granite matched.
I will definitely use them again!  Actually, I will be going back in the next couple of weeks to see about having the counter in my guest bath done.

I decided to make a change to the granite color.  They were out of several of my choices so I had to go with one that I really didn't want.  When the counter tops arrived and were put in place I was shocked to see that the granite matched the cabinet color perfectly.  I couldn't believe it!  They look great and fit perfectly.
Then I got the bill.
My cabinet maker had put down a huge down payment to cover the cost of the counter tops.  I knew I was going to owe Premier a few bucks but not nearly one thousand dollars.  The installer immediately got on the phone and called in to the store.  Within a few minutes they had it all straightened out and said "Don't worry about a thing.  It's all taken care of.".  So I asked what I owed then and the installer said I owed nothing.  They would waive the rest of the charges.  I almost keeled over!

See above. I will say the work they did do was very nice. Just no service after the sale or no completion of job.

The product was great and they finished result is beautiful. They got the granite installed in one day and the back splash took about two days.We did have an issue with the customer service and they were not very responsive. They came out to take measurements and gave us an estimate, but it turns out they miss measured so our final bill was not what we anticipated.
