Quick, comfortable, and caring. Dr. Trost is so kind and gentle with my dog.

We have been going here for years & have always appreciated what Dr. Trost & staff can do.  When one of our dogs was injured on a weekend we went to an "emergency vet" we were quoted $3500.00 to treat the dog & told it might not work.  We love our pets but $3500.00 was out of range. We took him & to Dr. Trost on a Monday morning& was told $350.00 & that it might not work, but at $350.00 that was  an option.  It did work & it worked wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Trost & Pittman Animal hospital to any & all.  It is not a fancy office as some have mentions but none of my animals have complained.
We have always received very good care for our pets at a very reasonable rate.

My beagle has separation anxiety and I can't even go into another room without her. He is very affordable.  He is very busy but that’s because he’s good.  He tries to get as many animals in as he possibly can.  He’s very efficient and very effective.  He’s very gentle with my pets.

I went in on a Saturday morning to have my puppy get her 8 week puppy shots. I had to wait with about 8 other dogs and cats with their owners int he waiting room. when they called my dog's name I went into the same room as all of the other animals had gone into, without it being sanitized and the doc gave my puppy her shots. He did not do a "check up" or even weigh my puppy. I had to ask if I could weigh her. After the shot he sent me on my way.

I give them an A across the board and will use them in future.

Our neighbor recommended Dr. Trost after another clinic allowed one of our cats, who had swallowed some thread which caused gastro-esophigeal complications, to die through mis-diagnosis and poor treatment. Dr. Trost has a no-nonsense, practical approach, combined with a strong empathy with both pets and their people. His facilities are not fancy and he doesn't have a large staff - therefore his prices are low - and his quality has to be top-notch to beat all the fancier pooch pamperers in town. His treatment keeps my dog's epilepsy under good control, yet has reduced the dog's medications by half. He followed up patiently three times with Jean Grey Kitty when her paws took longer to heal from declawing than her two companions, without any additional charges.

I have used him for years. I use them all of time. The owner is great and has the most reasonable prices in town.

Dr. Trost and the staff at Pittman Animal Hospital are top notch. I have taken my animals there for 8+ years and I know of at least 10 other people I have referred there who still go to him. It's a no-nonsense practice. No fancy bells and whistles, just good affordable care. The few times I have had something that Dr. Trost could not treat, he referred me to someone who could right away. You can tell Dr. Trost cares about the animals and their owners a lot. Quick, efficient service that is followed up on. His office isn't fancy, he's a quiet man of not many words, but I would never take my pets anywhere else. He's got old-school values and I appreciate that. I could not recommend someone more.
