Stained deck and used brush so brush marks visible, did not cover both sides of boards, left railing untouched, painted halfway up pillars, and numerous missed spots.  Called out and touched up and still missed raw wood spots on stairs.  Called out again and had every excuse in the book (sun was bright, wood new, wood old).  Came back a third time and made a worse mess by painting a steel hose pole but as if they were cleaning off the brush and used the pole to do it, stain dripped onto cement, furniture not even moved so they did the bare minimum to cover the blatant spots pointed out.  This company came as a referral, which is even more unbelievable, and the job from the start was as if they couldn't care less about gaining a new customer or doing the job right from the start let alone rectifying the situation.  The color "turned out darker than anticipated" and is awful.  It needs completely power washed and started from scratch to fix at this point.  No doubt next Summer we will need to redo it.  I am withholding their invoice, not putting their sign in the yard, and have little to no faith that they will make it right.
