We decided to part ways with Pro Turf in September of 2012 when we were contacted for fall aeration and over seed. My wife initially spoke with a rep. at length on 9/11 regarding this and a price of $145 was quoted for the services. We decided this was too high and declined.
On 9/13, Pro Turf's telemarketing contacted us ( I spoke to the rep) regarding these same services... I mentioned that my wife declined on Tuesday due to pricing... this rep quoted me a HIGHER price of $162. I was a bit frustrated, declined politely and hung up.
My wife called ProTurf back, and asked for a manager. Some time later the manager (Tim Brown) called back, and discussed the pricing issues with my wife. She felt that he was simply providing excuses and could not adequately explain the pricing and why the second rep called us back with a higher price.
Then, Mr. Brown made a comment indicating that since and quot;Obama was in the White Houseand quot; the prices on everything have gone up. (my wife and I are strong Obama supporters). This comment did not set well with my wife nor myself. Regardless of one's political leanings, comments like this are simply bad business, as they show lack of sensitivity for the customer.
This was the last straw... .I will be finding another provider for future lawn services.
