our scheduled appointment. We needed 3 movers; they only had 2 show up. They
showed up without any equipment. No pads, no protectors, 2 tie-downs, and no
dollies. Since no equipment was brought along with them they tired
quickly. The owners? assistant just complained the entire time. They were extremely
careless with our furniture. I repeatedly told them that our BRAND NEW couch
was high-end and extremely heavy. Above all to be careful with it. They
DESTROYED IT and caused structural damage to where we are unable to use it,
along with damage (cosmetic) to just about every other piece of large furniture
that they touched. They damaged the walls in our new home as well.
The owner Tony Collins was one of the
movers and was talking to my husband about the damage that he caused. He agreed
to call him to set up a time to come out and see the damage to get it corrected.
The day that he was supposed to call he decided to no longer accept our calls
and completely ignore us. We are now filing a law suit against him and his
company. We have tried many times to contact him before taking these measures.
Update: I finally heard back from the owner. We are in works to try to get the structual mishap fixed on the couch. I will update as this process goes on.
Well Tony Collins has decided to stop contact again and leave us hanging. He was very rude and combattive on our one phone call. He said that he would call a repair person. He never called me back, he will not respond to text messages nor will he answer calls. This is going to end up being the worst move ever, and we are military (so we move a lot). This company will have a suit filed against them. I have never experienced such deceptive and unprofessional behavior. Do yourself a favor and look for a different moving company.
