Our new firepit area involved raising a flagstone area, installing more flagstone to increase the diameter, border the raised flagstone with boulders. The firepit is a raised pit surrounded by keystone block. Moore's picked up the fire pit kit for us from Lumbermen's. The project was stretched out a bit due to rain. We are very pleased with the work. Blake Bench was very helpful in the planning and leading the project.

We live on a hill with twelve backyards uphill from us. During a heavy rain, an ocean of water would rush through our backyard. We wanted to add a waterfall, sitting area and find a better way to redirect water. The french drain installed in 2008 by another landscaping was helping some but not enough and not in the area where we wanted to develope more garden areas. For months, my husband and I worked on our rough design and desirable list. After checking with several landscapers, Moore's Landscaping designer Blake Bench listened to our requests, followed up with an estimate, suggestions and photos. Moore's Landscaping stood out as the obvious choice to work with us on the project. Some of the other landscapers did not even follow up with estimates or return our phone calls. Moore's Landscaping was sensitive to my concerns of saving my collection of plants that I had accumulated over 20 years. They provided 100 plastic pots and helped me with lifting the larger plants. Blake suggested going without the fiber mat under the mulch. I resisted but as I lifted plants I realized how tangled the roots get in the fiber mat. In some places weeds would grow through the mat and be even more difficult to remove. Dirt would accumulate on top and weeds would start on top. After those experiences, I decided to go with out the fiber mat. The project started on 5-14-2012. The project supervisor, Mick and the lead worker Demar arrived on site every day promptly at 8:30 am. The Moore's team performed all of the details listed to perfection including help with setting plants back into the new beds. They took provided me with an overview of work each morning, took a short lunch break and cleaned up the street at the end of each work day. Several neighbors commented and appreciated the neatness of this landscaping crew. Everyday a neighbor stops over asking to see our "new" backyard. They were supposed to come before I left on vacation and I was going to get someone to water the plants while I was gone. They didn't show up, so I left for vacation. They ended up coming the day I left, so the new plants went unwatered for 11 days. A lot of the plants did not survive. I wasn't too happy, I spent a lot of money.

There is never an exact billing price because it is always different as they do different jobs on our lawn. They do a great job keeping the schedule and they show up when they are supposed to. They also don't try to come out more than what is needed. We have always been satisfied with their quality of work and the professional people.

Moores comes as needed during the course of the year and we pay them by the year to take care of our large yard. They do an excellent job and seem to know just when they need to come. Our vegetation is looking very good.

We have them do our weekly mowing service; we have just a huge yard. They also do all the trimming of hedges. They handle plantings and all the details involved with keeping up the appearance of your garden, like clipping, pruning. They always sweep up grass clippings. I know I am happy with the yard. I am sorry, but I have no clue what we pay them.
