After calling around and getting less than friendly greetings from receptionists I finally found Molly Maids. I was very impressed with the gal who answered the phone. She was very friendly and didn't mind my questions (you only get one chance to make a great first impression.) So I scheduled a I meeting time with Rick from Molly Maids on June 17th. He came out to our new home that was 99.99% finished. Rick gave me an estimate and said he could fit us in the following week. I found him to be very genuine and passionate about his business.
Well, Rosa & Anna came out to the house and I can't tell you what a fantastic job they did. New construction cleaning is a totally different beast. Drywall dust gets everywhere! Rosa & Anna started from the top and worked their way down. Inside all the cabinets, tubs, shower, mirrors, utility room, storage room, windows, doors, hard wood floors, tile etc... These are some detailed and very hardworking women. I could tell by the job they did in our house that they took pride in what they did. It was OUTSTANDING!
It was such a relief to have the majority of dust & debris out of the house and ready to receive our household goods. I highly recommend them for new construction cleaning and any other needs.
Thank you Molly Maids!
We had our home cleaned on July 1. They came on time and overall did an ok job on cleaning our home. We did have some feedback to provide to make their service with us better and put together our list and waited for our phone call from the manager as we were told would happen from Rick. As he said that they "love feedback" as that is what makes their service and our relationship only better. We could not have agreed more.
Here is the feedback that we wanted to give:
Front Door Deadbolt was not locked
Alarm was not set - we were assured that they had expereince with our alarm system
They punch a small hole in our wall right above the baseboard in the kitchen - no note was left from cleaning crew with regards to this damage - we were told that if any damage occurs they would leave a note.
The Mirrors were streaky through out the house
Of course now, we can add lack of follow up to this list.
We waited and waited for our phone call and no one called to get our feedback. We called the office and were told that the supervisor would give us a call - we gave our cell phone numbers as that was the easist and quickest way to get a hold of us. Still no call came from them. We emailed Cathy (owner) with a list of our concerns and the lack of follow up that we were getting (to this day we have yet to hear back from Cathy either) We finally got a call last week from the supervisor, however she called and left a message on our home phone (did not try our cell phones as requested) during the day during while we are at work. We tried to call her back and had to leave her a message and it has not been returned either.
Needless to say, we are very disappointed with the level of follow up service that has been provided from this company and the fact that our wall is still damaged and not fixed. It is apparent that this company is not interested in getting feedback from us or want to address the issues that we have given to them. This is very disappointing as we were told over and over again from Rick that they wanted and encourage our feedback.
We called the office again this morning and were told to call the supervisor, we will give it another go and see what we can get done.
We have terminated them to continue to clean our house based on this first experience (or at least we hope, based on the fact that we have left 3 messages to let them know not to come back and no one has confirmed this as of yet).
Based on everything that has occured and their lack of concern or follow up with us, we will not continue to use them and would not recommend anyone else use them either.
"We are sorry to have disappointed a customer. We try diligently to respond to your needs. We made several calls to the number provided which were not returned. The small dent in the drywall is in the process of being repaired. The front door was locked at the knob but not the deadbolt. The alarm was not set. These issues are very disconcerting as security is our number one concern. Again, we apologized for any inconveniences we may have caused. Cathy & Rick Tichy Molly Maid owners"
We got notification of a house showing the day they were coming, so they came the day before without any issues, which was nice.
The ladies came and cleaned the house for over 2.5 hours. When I got home, the edges of the carpet still had dog fur, there were several places they missed when dusting that seemed very obvious, like the DVD player on our TV stand. It also didn't look like they tried to dust off the cobwebs from the basement. The rest of the cleaning looked fine, just not great. I waited for a call from their manager and never received one, so I called and they told me I would get a call the next day. It's been over a month and I still haven't received a call. I did receive an email with a review, so I sent in my review to them with the same information I'm putting here, and still haven't heard anything.
I'm not sure if my standards for cleaning are just too high, but I don't see a point in paying $84/hour when I can clean it better myself.
Three girls showed up exactly on time with all of their own equipment, towels, vacuums etc. The girl in charge spoke very good English and the other two did not speak any English. They like to start in the farthest parts of the house and they end with mopping your entrance way as they exit the house out the front door, which seems very logical. They work from the highest parts of the house (ceiling fans, top of fridge, shelves etc.) and work their way down to vacuuming the carpets last. I had a list of things that I specifically requested to have cleaned and they did not have a problem with any of my requests. They really amazed me at how detailed they were in the bathrooms. At one point I walked into the room and saw one of the girls cleaning each and every item that I had on a shelf, then cleaning the shelf and putting it all back the way it was before. I was very surprised. They seemed to have one lady focusing on the bathrooms and she worked very hard scrubbing the tubs, showers, etc. About 30 min before they were done a field inspector from Molly Maids came into the house and introduced herself and inspected their work to make sure they did a good job. She gave everything the white glove treatment, making sure all surfaces were clean. I thought that this was a nice touch.
I have only one suggestion: Since they work from top to bottom I know that they did this b/c it was their logical flow but we had a very dusty ceiling fan that is very hard to reach so when they dusted it all the large dust pieces fell down to the carpet, then the dust just stayed there for the rest of the time until they vacuumed 2 hours later (since vacuuming is one of the last things they do.) The dust was right in the middle of the room and it kept getting walked over and I felt like it was getting ground into the carpet. Three times I almost grabbed my own vacuum cleaner and vacuumed it up but I didn't want to offend the girls or mess with their flow so I held back, but it really seemed like something that needed to be vacuumed right away to me and not left for later since it was SO much dust that it was clearly visible.
The girls worked very hard and really did a great job, the house smelled really fresh and clean when they left. I would use them again.
Did a touch up on and spots they saw on the wood floor but did not clean the full floor nor the area between the wall and the rugs.
The bathrooms could have been done better but I thought this would be worked our as we go along.
The person I talked to when I sign up for the service said informed me that someone from the office would call me the next day so I made a list of things that needed to be worked on but was never contacted.
After the second cleaning I noticed a ring went missing. I looked for it for about a month before I contacted them. They told me to to contact the police.
