It didn’t cost me anything the insurance covered it. It probably took about 2 weeks. Workers were fine.

There were a couple delays due to competing jobs, and a couple minor issues with an EPDM section that required their commercial division to be involved. Excellent communication with sales rep throughout the process.

McKinnis did quality work and were good at keeping it cleaned up around house during the job. The project manager, Ryan DeBolt, was very responsive whenever I called him and he worked directly with the insurance company to make sure all the damage was covered. They went above and beyond by including new shutters (I wanted to change the color) and new window. We are very pleased with the results!

Terrible.  Siding left all over the lawn, as well as tools and equipment, killing the grass.  Landscaping trampled.  Nails never picked up at end of day...we had to do it to keep our pets safe.  Very few English speaking workers so communication was difficult.  No management monitoring progress until we started complaining.  Some crewmembers showed up on our doorstep complaining that they weren't getting paid and needed our help.  The whole process was a disaster.  Very unprofessional at every level.  Several parts of our contract were never provided...like a dumpster!...and since the salesman who had initially signed with us had quit, no one took ownership of this project and it failed from day one.

Initially the job was started and finished promptly, but due to quality issues, I had to call them back multiple times. They eventually corrected the problems, but it was a long, drawn-out process that involved multiple phone calls and meetings to finally get the job done. They kept sending out the sub-contractor to look at the problems, which of course they denied there were any. When they finally sent out a manager that actually worked for the company, the problems were finally addressed. My main complaint is with the lack of communication and the time and effort it took on my part to finally get the job done right. I spent way too much of my own time calling and meeting with them and was offered no compensation for it. The job was started in June and wasn't finished until November, that's way too long to get a roof job done.

We have a combination membrane flat roof with sloping spanish tile sections. The roof has leaked in three separate areas. McKinnis has been able to repair these areas. They were able to repair the flat section with a patch (in the middle of winter!). Tile sections required replacement of underlayment, and re-installation of tile. Response time is usually quick, typically a day or two after I have reported the issue. The same technician has been dispatched the three times that I have used their services.

Did a high quality job -- from planning to execution.

They repaired valleys with membrane and also inspected the roof entirely and replaced shingles and cap where necessary. After inspection and repair of the roof they gave it their approval. They could have convinced us we needed a new roof for $30+ thousand but did not. We had special request for color flashing and they were patient while we tried various colors. As some of the items were added on to original request, we were had questions on the final bill. They were very professional and explained each item of materials and labor hours. Honestly, the cost was not a huge issue but they were nonetheless more than willing to discuss the bill. The workmanship is great and I would trust this firm to work on my roof anytime. We are willing to pay a fair price for the quality of work we expect and do not always try to get the absolute lowest bid. That often ends up costing more later in our experience.

I was very pleased with this company. He was very nice and honest. He did not have to tell that I only needed to replace a few shingles instead of the entire roof because I would have not known any better. He also did the work in about 15 minutes and would not accept any money from me for the work. I told him that he was very nice and took some of his business cards to pass out for him. I highly recommend this person. It's hard to find people like him.
