We replaced our laminate in the kitchen, which had vinyl underneath, carpet and tile on the main floor with hardwood. I was worried because I have oak walls in the living room and didn’t know how it would look. A neighbor used Maverick and her floors looked great, so I called them. Another issue the houses in our neighborhood have is that the tile in the entry way was laid with mortar and very permanent. Our neighbor said Maverick was the only contractor willing to deal with the tile. Mike gave us an estimate, almost apologizing for the labor costs due to the tile. Not only was the tile a lot of work, they ended up having to remove the vinyl to level the floors. Maverick stuck to their estimate even though the cost of wood went up 8 cents a sq. ft. They started the project earlier than planned because we needed to be back in the house sooner than we thought and finished on time. If they were going to show up late, he called me to let me know. Mike and Simon worked very hard, did a great job and we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.
