Great. Be sure to ask for Bill Goetz to be your salesman. One additional visit from installer was required to enforce the threshold.

Marvin is certainly not the cheapest place to buy your windows, but they are also not the most expensive, yet are of extremely high quality.  We've been very happy with the windows we've replaced.  Steve has come out to our home a few times to measure our windows, ordered replacements, and had them delivered to our home so we could stain the interior wood.  He also set up installation with us.  The gentleman who came and installed the windows seemed to do a good job.  They look great on the inside and out and all our leaky window problems have stopped!

s.I'm pleased overall, but not without some 'hitches' in the process.  The initial "sales pitch" was very down to Earth - no pressure.  They came out, measured the windows, and declined to offer a quote on the spot.  The quote didn't appear after a week or so, so I called or emailed and it showed up shortly thereafter (might have gone to my junk box, but I am pretty sure it just got lost in the mix - all good though).  I am sure if I had followed up sooner it would NOT have taken a week to get the quote - I'm a busy guy, no time to chase down contractors.
Quote came back about 10k less than Anderson Windows, which was no surprise (knew coming in that Anderson was expensive).  If I was Marvin Windows and Doors, I would ask the Anderson guy to go out and quote every customer before I arrived just so the potential customer could compare and contrast.
Lead time to install was about 6-8 weeks, which seemed to come sooner than I expected.  Installers were subcontractors but they were absolutely fantastic.  Problem: I had 13 windows to replace and the sales dude only quoted 12.  Not sure where "we're going to replace all the windows in the house" got lost in translation... but, COUNT THE WINDOWS ON THE INVOICE BEFORE YOU AGREE TO THE WORK.  I know, dummy mistake.  So, I went into the deal thinking I was saving 10k, but it ended up being closer to 8k.
The missing window was ordered immediately (as soon as it was discovered that it wasn't quoted) - showed up and was installed a month later.
Overall, extremely pleased with the fit and finish of the windows (which is the important part).  I'm pretty laid back so I didn't get my panties in a bunch over the oversights (although I could see how someone on a tight budget or timeline might be extremely frustrated with waiting for a quote, or an oversight like forgetting to quote a window).
Would I do it again?  Yea, I mean it's a solid 'B.'  These windows look gorgeous - it's more than evident that they are not "cheap vinyl windows."  My utility bill has already been substantially reduced... I'm convinced that the windows will pay for themselves in 10 years time.  The windows will outlast the house.  I could have lived without the delay in getting the quote, or the nearly 2,000 dollar oversight by not quoting one of my windows... but hey, they are human too, right?

First, instead of recommending replacing just the window, they told us we need to replace the frame also, which is aluminum. This year we hired a company to do the rest of the windows and they informed us they could do the windows only for much less money which they did. Marvin didn't tell us that their replacement windows wouldnt match up with our inside shutters so we had to have the shutter company come out and work on them.

Will not use Marvin again.

They were GREAT!!!   If you are thinking new windows check with Marvin before you buy.  Pella and Anderson just don't compare. Chicago Lumber performs the carpentry/install and the installer was obsessed with making every little detail perfect.  VERY nice!   Also. . . the price was HALF of the other two companies mentioned.  Credibility?  -- I was a senior staff property adjuster with a major corporation.   I KNOW windows.  Marvin is the best value out there.

We did go to their office and viewed the various windows and the two window lines and mulled it over a bit at home. Contacted Marvin and asked for a quote which was emailed to me on April 24, 2014. We agreed to acquire the windows and the Marvin sales person came to our house and re-measured the windows in question. We were contacted a couple of weeks later and set May 30th as the install date. Some health issues came up so I contacted Marvin and they easily adjusted the date to June 6th. We provided trim paint to Marvin so their employees could pre-paint the outside trim boards for the new windows. The morning of June 6th the windows were delivered and placed in the garage. Meanwhile, we removed the blinds, draperies and blinds hardware from the existing windows. While Marvin had committed to arriving around noon, they called and let us know they were running behind on an earlier job and promised to get to us by 3 pm and so they did. Three young men, subcontractors for Marvin, arrived at 3 pm and immediately  brought in clean drop cloths, vacuum cleaner and their tools. Since the windows were on the first level of the backside of a walkout ranch they first had to use a sawzall from atop a ladder (equivalent to the second story in the back) to cut out the old window and then unpack the new window and manipulate it up ladders to its new home. The window was put into place and then they nailed it off using the nailing strip on the new window and applied the trim boards and touched up the paint as needed. Each window took a little over an hour and they were done a little after 5 pm. Very professional, accommodating, and when they left you would not have even known they were ever at the house!
The windows are great and we definitely would use Marvin again.

I walked into their show room, sold myself a storm door.  The "salesman" told me it would arrive in two weeks.  I paid more than half up front.  Three weeks later, I went back to the showroom and inquired about the door.  Another "salesman" - mine, whom I have never seen again was not there - said ' I see it came in last week, let's get you scheduled, for another 3 weeks from now."  SO much for three to five weeks.  Then we had to call to remind them to install it.  Then over a month AFTER they installed it, I went back to the show room to pay the balance since I had never received a bill and I did not want to pay interest on it, and no one I had met before was there and I get a third person, who charged me too much - so now I have over paid and the door does not close, the handle is falling off and I can't get any one unless I go back to the show room and meet someone new.

It was perfect.  The sales person came and measured and then prepared a bid.  I thought it was very fair and accepted it.  We scheduled the install about six weeks later to allow for manufacture.  The installation crew was great and very thorough.  The cleaned up after themselves with great care and courtesy.

We went to the Marvin store and picked out the storm doors we wanted.  The doors were ordered and arrived on schedule.  Marvin contacted us to arrange an installation date, and the installer met us that day on time.
Evidently the Marvin store subcontracts the storm door installation work.  Our first indication was talking to the installer about how long he had been doing this work.  He told us he was actually a deck installer and he was doing this for fill in work.  When he left he cleaned up all the packing materials, and took them and the old doors away properly.
The doors came with both glass and screen inserts, and both were still in the doors when he left, held in place by retaining clips.  We removed the glass inserts, since it was springtime, but the retaining clips wouldn't hold the screens in place.  After modifying the plastic clips we got them to hold the screens in place, but they kept falling out.  After a few days of this we contacted Marvin to ask about the problem.
The Store called us back a week later, discussed the problem, and eventually determined that the installer had left the shipping retainers in the doors, and thrown out the proper full-length retaining pieces.  They ordered the retainers we needed for the doors. A few weeks later we were called that the clips were in and we could pick them up.
At the store we were told that only one set had come in and the second was still ordered.  We took the set that came in, and went home to insert them.  We tried to install them in the way the shipping inserts had been installed, but they didn't fit.  We called the store again and left a message about the problem.  We played "phone tag" with the store for a couple of weeks, finally bringing the new clips back to the store for a clearer explanation.
The store said they were the proper clips and would work, so we asked for an installer to come out to show us how they fit.  We played phone tag with an installer from a lumber company, the subcontract company Marvin used, and a couple weeks later a supervisor met us at the house and showed us that the new clips fit a different way from the old clips, and that they worked fine.  This final visit only took about 5 minutes, and verified we had the correct parts. The installer also brought the second set of clips that had been back ordered.
The screens and retaining clips now work properly, as of September - about 3 months after the original installation.  It just seemed that after the sale and installation, the company didn't have a sense of urgency in resolving what turned out to be a simple issue.

GREAT experience!   I visited two local showrooms for windows; Marvin and another highly recommended Angie's List vendor.  The Marvin window IS SUPERIOR.  Got me thinking. . . I used to be a property insurance adjuster (retired 2012) and during my career I paid for a lot of P**** windows and a lot of A******* windows due to hail, but I had never paid a customer to replace a Marvin.  Once I inspected the build quality and listened to the explanation at the store I know why.   Marvin windows are built TOUGH.  Sidenote:  The "other" vendor quoted TWICE AS MUCH (as I show above for the cost of the service) for a lesser product.  They quoted inserts (ie: they use the existing frame from the old window) whereas Marvin installed complete new window units.  And, even though they were twice as much their bid did NOT include the new front door and sidelights.  DUH!!!  Work was completed by a 25-year veteran of window installations and his two helpers.  This guy knows his stuff and is VERY PICKY about the quality of his work.   I was impressed.  Took them a week to get the job done but man o' man what a difference it has made.  We have had two people walk by who stopped to say how great the house looks and one even took a picture.   Cool!  I was looking for 'cheap money' to finance the windows and the Marvin rep (Steve) got me a two-year, interest free note.  Nice!  Okay, the new windows make a HUGE difference in how quiet it is in the house, and my second floor seems cooler during these hot days.  Two reasons we got new windows (the front door was an afterthought we decided upon to enhance the entry):  Our OPPD bill (level pay) is $390 per month - OUCH!!! And, we had a realtor look at the house (we want to move down South; kids gone and too darn cold here,) and the FIRST thing she asked about were the windows.  Seems that is a big deal in today's market.  (Who knew???)    Summary:  Great product, and great service at a great price.  Isn't that what it's all about?

We bid on 2 different companies; chose Marvin.  Versus the other company, they offered an aluminum screen at 'no extra cost'; the other company was going to have to 'special order' the aluminum screen.  We wanted aluminum vs. fiberglass/fabric because we have a dog that occasionally scratches the screen tho so far w/ our training, the dog has not yet scratched the door!  The other company's demo door didn't work properly in the store.  We thought it odd that even their demo wasn't working properly.  Marvin installers were relatively quick (4 hours in & out), the installation seems excellent; the door and screen operate fine.  All in all, the door and screen are a solid, sturdy product, not 'cheap' either in function or appearance.  I had a problem with the stain of the trim piece around the door opening.  The stain used was the same one used for the wooden interior portion of the door.  But the woods were different: pine for the door, red oak for the trim.  Therefore, the stain didn't quite match.  I complained initially; the installer promptly returned to my home (same day as installation) to explain the above reason (different woods).  I'm learning to live with it; my family didn't have a problem w/ the slight variation.  And in fact, our kitchen cabinetry does have slight variations because of similar variances in the wood.  (The wood on the cabinetry is all oak but if not from the same cut, variation in coloration occurrs.)  And this kind of color variation is evident even in the wooden portion of the door itself, even though it is all pine w/ the same stain.  The trim pieces are sturdy and effectively installed so I decided to avoid more ripping and hassle, to just leave it like it is.  Initially, the stainer could have used different stains to better match the color; he didn't do that.  I didn't know that was going to happen.  MIght be something to consider in the future.  The other concern I had was the financing though the end of the story went fine.  I was told by the salesman that I would get 18 months deferred interest w/ a bank home improvement credit card.  Sounded good, I applied and was approved for a credit limit for more than twice the purchase price.  But I wanted the terms of the interest rate in writing.  All I had was a copy of the application detailing various options for interest, nothing specific to my purchase with no Marvin signatures.  I called the bank twice and the salesman at least twice to inquire about this.  The last conversation with the salesman was lengthy.  He explained that he didn't have anything he could provide to me in writing detailing the exact terms of the interest until the day of the install.  So ultimately I had to trust that I would get the terms initially explained to me.  I clearly didn't feel comfortable purchasing something this expensive w/o getting the terms in writing in advance.  But on the day of the install, the terms were clearly indicated on the rescission charge slip/invoice, I got the deferred interest as promised, and it all worked out.  As my wife suggested, Marvin probably wouldn't have wanted the bad publicity if the interest terms promised turned out to be untrue.  All in all, these guys were up front from day one w/o any slick sales presentations, the install was fine, and the product is a much needed improvement from my previous 36! year old door.  Also, I'm not sure the following was explained to me in advance but: the new door height didn't exactly match my old door so a gap was left on the exterior above the new door.  A cedar trim piece was placed above the new door to cover the gap.  I'll need to paint that to match my siding.  Seems they could have matched the old door height more accurately?  Don't know; the installer said the doors came in 'standard' heights suggesting to me that the new door would have to be custom built for the door to exactly match the old door dimensions.

good service, good price.  quality is excellent.  only two mistakes, they dropped off some window screens and a front door lock during construction and they disappeared, so we had to reorder those.  they should not have been left on the front stoop with no notice of that.

I am getting ready for more windows and I plan to go back to this company. I was very satisfied; they did a wonderful job. They were very professional. My windows needed a lot of repair work around them because of their age. This company did a very thorough job of making sure everything was as it should be. I bought wood windows on the inside and vinyl windows on the outside; they stained them on the inside to match the rest of my woodwork. I won't say they were cheap; I got three estimates and their prices were all comparable so their price was competitive. The one added bonus that I got with this company is that they were willing to do the inside stain at no increase in price; overall the price was the same as the others, but they were doing more for it.

We have replaced nearly all the windows in a very large house with Marvin Windows. This has been a process undertaken over the past three years. They have been consistently great to work with, and we are very pleased with the quality of the product we have purchased, including two French exterior doors. They have also been very responsive on after sale service, which have been very few.

We selected Marvin Window and Door based upon our previous experience with Marvin brand replacement windows.  We were looking for a quality upgrade patio door to replace the existing "builders grade" door that was leaking badly.  We chose the Marvin Window and Door store in Omaha.

Our experience from beginning to end met or exceeded our expectations  We never felt pressured to close the deal.  The personnel were friendly and courteous and were willing to answer all of our questions.  The estimate was thorough and accurate.  The installers had very little trouble installing the new door because the salesperson was very accurate in taking his measurements.  The installers did an excellent job of fitting the door and matching the trim work on both the inside and outside.  One piece of siding was found to be rotting and was replaced at no additional charge.

Overall, the experience was great from beginning to end.  I would definitely recommend Marvin Window and Door to anyone looking for a quality door and a quality installation.
