Magnolia Hotel

Overall, I have to say I was wildly disappointed with the Magnolia in Omaha. For starters we got mysteriously bumped from our "jacuzzi room" to a lofted 2 story "suite." At 2am, after our wedding I was in no mood to argue. Initially the two story room, with kitchenette was impressive, however during the light of day, the dirty truth came out. And by dirty, I mean actually dirty. I woke up a married woman, staring at dusty light fixtures over my head, dusty floorboards and just overall, not well maintained rooms. The bathroom had large dents in the wall from where the doorknob hit it, apparently so aged, that another patron used the cracks from the drywall to make an ocean landscape. The bed was comfortable and the room service was tasty. However, I don't think the Magnolia is worth all the hype, not until they get a new maid. Everything is just a little dirty, I've stayed in cleaner Super 8 motels off the side of the highway. I was disappointed in room 2006, maybe it is a clunker amongst a gorgeous hotel, who knows, I doubt I will find out.
