Jensen Enterprise

It went remarkably well. It has almost been 8 months since Jensen Enterprises performed the work and when I reflect back I am still very impressed with how the whole process went. Martin ensured that the material used was the best choice for my situation and was always there to ensure that everything was installed properly. I would highly recommend Jensen Enterprises and would use them again when the need arises.

punctual, professional, excellent job

This company gets a mixed review.The installation of the shingles and gutters went smoothly for the most part. They were prompt and appeared to do good work. The materials etc were cleaned up upon finishing. Their employees were good workers.The reason we needed new gutters was that the old gutters were inadequate (too small and small downspouts) and rainwater spilled over causing damage to the siding and the facia board that the gutter was attached to.The problem we encountered is that the new gutters were installed on the old facia board, some of which was rotted. Maybe they felt that replacing the facia board wasnt a part of their job, but they should have mentioned it rather than just installing new gutter on old rotted board. When we pointed it out, they didnt wish to correct the problem but choose to ignore it. To do the job correctly, they should have looked the project over properly to begin with and bid it including replacing any rotted facia board. There wasnt that much board to replace and it would have been the right thing to do.On a side note, we have not had a significant rainfall to determine whether the gutters are adequate so I cant say whether the gutters themselves are adquate at this point. The other issue is that they had sub contractors do all of the work (for both roofing and gutters) and I asked for a certificate of insurance (specifically workers compensation coverage) from the subs and never did receive a certificate. (in fact, they were unfamiliar with what I was even asking for) It is important that employers provide insurance for employees when they are working in dangerous and elevated areas and if they dont have coverage then the home owner is liable for any work related injuries. I questioned that the subs actually were insured and think they probably were not.For these reasons, I have to give this company a mixed review. The shingles and gutters do look good, however, as I mentioned, they ignored the rotted board and were probably not insured.

They were quite thorough and I would recommend them. They were pretty punctual as far as the weather allowed them to be.
