The service went great. They are awesome. The workers are very professional. They always show up when they say they would. It takes about twenty to thirty minutes to complete the work. I would recommend them to a friend. I have had a lot of success with them. I have been using them for nine years. The prices are comparable to everybody else.

Did a wonderful job. Even killed off some persistent weeds that we had for several years. Very prompt and professional.

I decided upon them by reading reviews on Angie's list and they are local and not a big national company.

rThey were prompt in starting and sending the bills. We used them for a rental property we have. Since there is no mower at the property we asked if they could assist us in getting it mowed.  They said yes to that request. We were relieved they could help with that.  They called someone whom they regularly call or refer for lawn mowing. The mowing was done well. Around our second treatment we asked for that same mowing help again. (We'd hoped that the house would be rented by now with the renter doing the mowing! But we didn't have a renter yet) They called us back to to say that the lawn mowing company would charge more for the extra long grass.  My assistant accepted that reasonable about extra due to the length of the grass. They said it would be taken care of by Tuesday.  Then when Friday arrived and I saw that it was not done we hoped they would mow on the weekend. When Monday came--and was very overgrown by this time-my assistant called Heartland to see what was the matter.  The woman who answered the phone was dismissive of him and told him (quote) "Don't call here for mowing."  We didn't even know the name of the company they had arranged to mow. (Keep in mind this was the second mowing they had arranged for us.)  When my assistant reported this to me I escalated to Jeremy who repeated the same admonition and began arguing with me. He gave me the name of the mowing company. (They were very apologetic and made it right and did state that they are the go-to company for Heartland) He also told me when I asked, that he would relay my issue to Dan Setlack, the owner.  (Of course, now the issue was not the lawn service but the way we were treated so angrily and dismissively by 2 Heartland employees.)   Mr Setlak never returned my call.  We are done with Heartland.  Yes, this really happened.   They seem to want the benefit of a good relationship with their lawn cutting referral and to be able to provide that help to their customers.  But when it goes bad, they want nothing to do with it.  How were we supposed to know?

Started using this year (2014).  So far, so good.  Was using TruGreen, but they kept messing-up my billings.  Quote me one thing and bill me another.  Call and they'd correct, but next month, same thing.  No such problems with Heartland and they're a little less expensive.  They seem to do a good job.  Satisfied.

The service is very good. They are very responsive. If we need them to come back out they are very responsive. One or two people come out. It takes them about 30 minutes to an hour. I would tell a friend or family member that they have quality service and great response time.

I've been using Heartland Lawns for several years and my lawn looks great. I'm rarely home when service is provided. However on one occasion I did see them perform the service and was impressed that they took a minute to blow the gradual fertilizer  that had gotten on my driveway.

I first decided to use Heartland Lawns last year when I walked past my neighbor's house and started talking with one of their employees who was aerating the yard.  He really impressed me with his willingness to discuss their service.  He was not a salesman, but, as he put it, "just one of the grunts."  He was obviously busy and had additional yards to get to, but was the reason I called the number on his truck and got a quote for aeration and over seeding.  This year, I signed up for their full season fertilization package (~$400) with a couple add-ons.  The yard already looks better than it did last year.

I have used Heartland since I bought my house 5 years ago. They quickly turned a poor thin lawn with a fair amount of weeds into a thick, beautiful turf. I have had no problems whatsoever and recommend Heartland to anybody that wants to have a nice lawn. (You still need to make sure you do the proper mowing and watering)

Came out and did the initial estimate, and no trying to sell us on treatments that we didn't want. Gave a written estimate-unlike some other lawn services. Came out at the scheduled time for the lawn treatment.

So i might be jumping ahead here but i had to write about my great experience. I am a new and first time home owner and have lot of reservations. Trying to do many stuff on my own but had to draw a line somewhere.

Great! We have used Heartland for two years, since we moved to the Millard area, and have had only positive experiences. They respond promptly to inquiries and provide the services agreed to. The office staff is always polite and personable.

The company personnel are very professional and courteous.
The company took extra steps in handling weeds and was very proactive
The company is very responsive to requests.
Phone calls were made coordinating each visit and the company was very flexible in the timing of the treatments.
Highly recommended.

So far the lawn has improved quite a bit,  and the ants, army worms, etc., have disappeared.

I called for a quote.  They came out within a couple days with a reasonable bid do I signed up.  They've been very responsive to any questions I've had and came out the next day to spray a few weeds that had appeared.
