We purchased a spec home (someone started building and backed out), so we did not have the opportunity to pick all of the different fixtures, but they do provide a nice show room where you can see and choose different options for tile, cabinets, fixtures, etc. Some things I would have liked to see done were motion sensor lights, energy star (available option now), and more upgrade options through vendors, especially if you choose the one time close.

The lot we selected was supposed to have allowed the house to be built with a low profile (minimal steps to the front entrance and from the garage). They refused to widen the doorways or let me have someone widen them during construction. The house ended up being over 2 feet from the ground to the stoop or from the garage into the house. A ramp would have had to have been nearly 30 feet in length. They would not make any concessions to try to rectify the matter and only with the threat of reporting them did they finally offer to buy the house back from me. I never moved into the house and had to start over building a house with a different company.

We have not been overly pleased with our home since purchasing it. First of all, our Jacuzzi caught on fire, and the paint has begun literally coming off of our walls. We would not purchase another home from this particular builder because we have contacted them many times about various things that have been going wrong with our new home. They are not particularly quick to return our calls, and they have also argued with us regarding our complaints and concerns.

We were very pleased with the quality of their work. We have not had any major problems with the home. They have been out a few times for some minor adjustments, which they quickly fixed. They are a very trustworthy company and easy to talk to and deal with.

I think this company did an excellent job. We are going to use them again to build another home for the family. We paid a very good price for the work that they did. I like the overall turnout of my home as it was everything I wanted.

Hearthstone did a very good job, completed the project in six months and we are extremely pleased with our new home. The only residual problem was some painting they did which needed primer. They didn't do the landscaping.
