We have been trying to fix a basement leak for 8+ years. We called Larry to install some gutters to help divert water away from the house. Larry was very responsive and always called and came by as soon as we called. Most others wouldn't even return my calls. Then when we found that we also needed flashing in the leak area, Larry came right away and had the guys out to fix in no time. Larry's responsiveness and helpfulness was very much appreciated, would recommend to anyone!!

I feel like I can count on H & S to do a professional job that is hassle-free!  Kevin  is a great representative for their company and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend H & S to other friends and neighbors!

It went fine. They came on time. Dealt with  everything even some problems that came up.

The quality of the roof replacement and gutters was ok.  The small details were lacking though.  Not surprisingly, the roof and gutter were not installed together; the gutters were installed ca. 3 weeks after the roof.  No big deal.  I went up on the roof to inspect after the gutters were installed.  Found unused nails left on the roof as well as on the ground and unsealed open nail heads that were used to attach the vents.  The contractor and I disagreed as to whether those nail heads should have been sealed with polyurethane or roof cement.  Both the City of Omaha Chief Building Inspector and the shingle company product manager stated that while the lack of sealant was not a code violation, it should have been installed.  So I did it myself; I figured that because the installation of my roof and gutters took longer than I expected; the company's return to seal roof nail heads would have been even longer.  And at that point I didn't trust them to do that well.  Ok installation; but I wasn't happy with the small details, ie. nails on the driveway and roof plus unsealed nail heads.  Didn't want any leaks.
An addendum: I also found that at least one gutter bracket had not been screwed into the fascia and that a bracket from my old gutter was found on the ground.  Again, inattention to detail.  I attached the bracket. 

These guys were old school. They were the only contractor out of five that provided a written proposal. The proposals were detailed, reasonable and very close to the insurance settlement. Without hesitation I selected them for the work. Their crews were excellent and completed the work in a timely manner. They actually did some extra work not included in the original proposal and did not charge for it. I have an improved and updated roof, siding, gutters and downspouts installed by experienced crews and supervised by quality contractors. This was the best experience I've ever had with a contractor in 43 years as a homeowner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to family or strangers.

Everyone from the guys that delivered the shingles to the crew that replaced the roof was friendly and prompt.  The roof was replaced in one day!     I am very pleased with the service and quality of the job.  I wouldn't hesitate to use H&S again and highly recommend this company to anyone!!

I was very satisfied with the service I received.  From the time I initially contacted them to completion of the work was approximately two weeks.  They worked diligently to get the work done quickly.

Received 4 bids for the job.  two were exactly what the insurance company would pay.  I disregarded them in favor of two that were very competitive and truthful.  I got all of these companies from Angies list. H&S were very responsive to all my questions.  I gave them the contract.  They got the job done promptly, cleaned up very well and were finished in just three days. I liked the personal attention to all my questions and liked the crews they sent in for the job.  Larry the job foreman explained everything and the job went very smoothly. I would use this company again.

I did ask them if they would take a look at the other corners to make sure there were no other leaks and they kind of said, no? They just fix the ones that the homeowner finds.  I thought that was strange since they were up there.  But maybe that is normal?

They were very, very professional and they were here on time. They did the job in less than one day and it was an extensive job. They were out of here before 4:15 pm. They cleaned up after themselves. They were great. We had 5 contractors come out to give us prices and they were all pretty comparable and within a couple of hundred dollars. My husband was very pleased with the price so the pricing was fine. We had a lot of questions about the eaves and things on the roof. They stopped what they were doing and answered our questions so they were very responsive. They also do remodeling and we would consider them for that.

They could fix one roof that nobody else could. We have a house with a little addition that was always leaking and people could not find the leak on it. Then I called them and they got out there. They roofed that section and we did not have any water in there since. I like Brad who works for H & S. I can just call him on a job and he will get that done. Therefore, I do not have to call back a thousand times or try to get a bid on it. I like him. I usually do not get any other business anymore, I call him right up and he does it. In terms of price,  when we had a bid up to $118,000, they did it for $40,000 and they did a good job. It still looks awesome. I was on that roof yesterday and it still looks great.
