About us
We have come a long way since the night Bruce and Joyce sat down around the table with their kids to think of a name for this shop, but family is still at the heart of our operation. Bruce and Joyce Hansen founded Great Plains Auto Body in November 1988 as a family owned and operated auto body repair shop. We first opened our doors in Omaha, Nebraska in a 5000 sq. ft. leased facility at 78th and “F” street. In 1992, 2500 sq. ft. were added. In 1996, we purchased the 17,000 sq. ft. building and 3 and 1/2 acres of land, which serves as our current location. The growth did not stop there. In 2000, we underwent a major addition to the repair facilities (12,000 sq. ft.) and an extensive remodel to the administrative offices. Along the way, we have found excellent employees who believe in the service we want to provide. In 2007 we opened a second location in the Lake Manawa area of Council Bluffs, Iowa. In 2012 we opened a third location off of 108th and Maple Street in Omaha. All of our growth has only helped us to serve you better, and our family roots have kept us grounded.

Estimate was better than the two i received.
I would highly recommend using Great Plains.
The work was great (we have some personal experience with body work - so we know it was good!), and they were very friendly and professional. The cost was even less than we were quoted. It was a great experience!
The staff were friendly and even gave me a small military discount.
I would strongly endorse them due to their quality of work and nice staff. Having your vehicle out of action is always a pain but they lessened that by being very accommodating.
Hopefully I never need car body work again but if I do, at least a know a top notch place to get it done.
They did very good job.
I would recommend this company to everybody - it is my first choice from now.
