Countertop and Backsplash Service, Marble and Granite Service
The bid process went well, and Mark Bohn answered all of my questions, and assured me that he could get the materials
ordered and the job completed within a fairly short time line (3 weeks). There were a few communication glitches, when I would not hear back from him for several days, or I would have to send multiple emails. But overall, it was okay.
I felt that after I paid 50% of the project cost up front, the communication stopped and I was "back burner'ed". I am not sure if it was lack of organization/time management, they were too busy for the work and projects they had, or if they just did not care. It did not matter because the result was the same.
The set installation date was not met, but I was not called - I found out when I called the afternoon before the installation. I had to initiate most of the communication for this project instead of Mark. I had to get in a shouting match with the staff to get the project done. I could not take off more days from work, so they agreed to a Saturday install.....4 days late. It may have been much longer if I were more of a mild person, but I wanted this job done when and how they promised!!
The installation crew showed up on time, and got to work. They did a good job removing the old countertops, and installing the new ones. At the end of the installation, they tried to say I owed more money because the removal of the old countertops was not in the bid, but I clearly showed it WAS included and refused to pay. I felt it was a HUGE scam, and because of that, I refused to TIP the workers which is something I always try to do. By the time they left, I just wanted the project over with. The crew cleaned up fairly well inside, but did scratch a HUGE gash in the wood floor moving the stove, and outside in my driveway, there were TONS of discarded cigarette butts, chunks of granite, and all of the material from the saws - they did not clean it up!!! Not very professional.
I would NOT use this company again and cannot recommend them.
