Modern Painting

The work was overall very good and the price was very competitive. Only a couple of slip ups. Originally thought would take one day to complete but ended up taking 2.5 days so we had to shuffle our schedules a little. Also used satin paint instead of egg shell which I didn't notice until getting home from work and seeing the paint cans. The quality of paint application was good and they did a good job of protecting furniture, floor and trim. I would use them again considering good work and competitive price but would make sure to see the paint cans first prior to application. I'm waiting for word back to see if we can throw a coat of eggshell over the satin when we paint the rest of the house.

They followed up on the date promised and worked around repairs that had to be completed.
Once on site they were professional and completed the work quickly.
The owner followed up meeting with me to inspect the project to make sure I was completely satisfied.

The original timeline for the project was around three weeks.  The job ended up being quite a bit more labor intensive than was originally planned.  Many of the walls needed to be sanded and re-mudded multiple times.  Rob and his crew were anxious to have a great end result and wanted to "make it right."  The project ended up taking five weeks total.  This wasn't a big deal for us as we  were not living in the house yet and were also getting some bathrooms remodeled.   Through the ups and downs of the project, we felt that Rob was always accessible and answered e-mails and texts promptly.  He remained optimistic and available for answering questions and was anxious to do a good job for us.  The crew often worked Saturdays in order to try and get finished more quickly.  We feel they truly cared about the end result as much as we did.

We were pleased.  They did a good job.  Their clean up was very good.

Extreme Painting had hired some extra people to do my painting job and they really didn't do a very good job. They came back, fixed it for me, and fired the people.

Rob Kush was the Estimator who came to our house to measure and give us an estimate.  When I called him to make the appointment he told me he could give me a good deal because it was the off season and that after the Home Show they would get busy and would go to their regular rates.  He arrived promptly when the appointment was made.  We were right away impressed with his energy, we liked him from the start.  After he did some measurements, he sat down at our kitchen table and gave us a quote.  We had already had quotes from other painting companies that were substantially higher than his. We wanted to have the painting done by mid-March. One company said they couldn't do it and another said that they could only do it if we let them come in a day here and there only as they had holes in thier schedule.  Rob said that they could start and finish in five to seven days and that they could do start the Monday after next.   My husband works nights so we told them that they would have to work around his sleep schedule.  The quote we were given was $3500.  He said the normal rate in peak season would be $4500 which was still much lower than what the other quotes were.  Since my husband needed to go to bed at 7 AM and had to leave to go to work at 4:30 PM.  Rob agreed to do the work in that time frame.  Monday morning Rob was there at 7 AM to start the work just as promised.  That blew us away, we have never had a contractor be at our house at the time scheduled before.  And they were on time every day.  My husband was able to get them started and sleep his normal sleeping hours.  We really appreciated that.  There was a little mix up on what needed painting.  They did a couple ceilings a no charge because we didn't have them on the schedule to be painted.  Like-wise a couple of things we wanted painted were not done until we asked them to do it.   But when we checked the estimate those were not included in the estimate.  So they painted another room and ceiling and woodwork and some dooors for an additional $200.  They did a great job, everything looks wonderful.  They also finshed in four days even doing the additional work.   There was a lot of patching to do some of our wall were in bad shape and they look like new walls.   They did leave some dust from patching that we had to vaccum up but wasn't a big deal at all.  I would definitely recommend this company to anyone.
