Charleston Homes built our home in 2011. The agents and staff are friendly and nice. However, be very care of the products and relationships they have with their subcontractors! At the last minute we were told that they had made "improvements" to the quality of their products one of which was their cement fiberboard siding. This great switch was to Certainteed Siding. This company had already been involved in a class action lawsuit for their roofing products, but we were assured this product was an improvement over their previous product with a better warranty and value. As you can guess, this product now is apart of a $100 million class action lawsuit and our siding is falling off of our house. Charleston was not willing at all to help remedy the situation except to say they were sorry it happened and they provided a bill I could submit to the class action. Thanks! This will cost us an unexpected $15000 to replace. Some of their products are good, others are not. Be very careful!
