They were really good about telling us what the problem was. I would recommend them because I have had other auto people look at my vehicle and give me a service I did not need, just for the money. They did not charge me for this service.

First of all, they treat you like a friend and take all the time you want to explain everything they are going to do. The clutch replacement went very routine for them and they handled it without any problems. I had the truck back the next day, as scheduled. I later noticed that the backup lights were working intermittently and took it back to them to inspect. David (service manager) had their technician test the circuit and he found that the issue was in the backup light switch (which is mounted on the outside of the transmission). They removed it, cleaned it with contact cleaner and replaced it . . . it has been working fine ever since. They did this repair free of charge and said if it stops working again, I should bring it back and they would order a new switch from Toyota (about a $10 part) and replace it for me for free. The time it took them to clean and the replace switch was only about 20-30 minutes, but most companies would have jumped on that as opportunity to charge additional fees, but Certified Transmission did not . . . they apparently get it and they treat you as if they want you back the next time!!

Took the 199 Sienna Van into Certified Transmission (CT) to be evaluated because when the original OME transmission went bad at 72k miles the Toyota dealership purchased the replacement from them. The replaced transmission was slipping slightly in reverse, but all forward gears were operating fine. CT did their free analysis and then called to let us know it would need to be replaced. Since it had been 75K miles and 5 years since the replacement transmission was installed it was no longer under warranty so we bore the full cost of replacement.

My only disappointment with the whole process was that the replacement transmission lasted only 75K and failed due to an issue with a part in the overdrive system. CT did however give us a price break on the replaced transmission so overall I was satisfied customer.

This was our "second opinion" regarding having to put a new transmission into our daughter's 2007 Chevy Impala. Thank goodness we went to Certified Transmission. When visiting with David prior to taking the car in, he said that one of out three cars end up actually needing a new transmission; and, that to his knowledge, they had never replaced a transmission in a 2007 Impala. He was guessing it was probably something else going on. David was right in that it only needed a brass fitting of some sort replaced. It was a free inspection, and when they got to the point of knowing what the problem was, he called me back with an exact cost to fixed it. This would have been a very expensive unexpected expense had we gone with our first opinion and replaced the transmission with them. We bought the car new, and were very diligent about all the maintenance services needed through the years, so we could not believe it was the transmission either. I told David that the car was actually running great even though it seemed to be leaking steering wheel fluid and gurgling. What was even more impressive about the whole ordeal was trying to convince our daughter the problem was fixed, so when she went to pick the car up, David explained everything to her, and had his mechanic go for a ride with our daughter to show her how it was driving better and not making any noises. As parents, sometimes kids need to hear whatever from other people; and now, since her little conversation with David and ride with Jim, she is a happy camper and has quit asking for a new car! We saved all kinds of money thanks to the honest crew at Certified Transmission on 76th and Pacific!!

They were very good and detail oriented. The car was in good shape when I got it and it's been running well ever since. They did a top rate job.
