12.1.21: Still no reply to the email I sent to owner Fri, 11/19/21 - 12 days later now; after waiting (7) weeks and losing precious time when we could've found someone else to complete the job: Hi Bill, I stopped in today. Was hoping to talk with you in person, so you could hear my tone and that it is truly conversational and respectful - which cannot be heard in typed words. We've run out of time waiting to be put on the schedule - I initially spoke with Jaydon the end of September, during which he stated he believed we could be on the schedule by the end of October, 4 weeks later; for which that seemed a feasible amount of time to wait. I was also told that as soon as we paid a deposit we would be put on the schedule - I paid it within minutes of receiving the invoice from Jaydon after another call I placed inquiring about when we could expect to receive the invoice. I was then told once we had a color match approved we'd be put on the schedule; I bustled on down there dropping off a door for the match. Picked it up soon after being informed it was ready, but it was not the right shade. A new match was made within a day or so, and I bustled down there again to pick it up and confirmed when I got home it was pretty darn close; Lauren then confirmed back to me the next business day that it was as close as she could get, so I sent an email immediately to you confirming it was approved - that was on 10/25. It will be (4) weeks next Monday, since I approved the match. I've tried not to be a nuisance, and only check in periodically 1 1/2 - 2 weeks, so y'all can focus on getting work completed and get to us faster, but also to ensure we were not forgotten since we are a small job. I've received no follow up at all to that 10/25 email, nor to the call I placed to Jaydon a week or so later; begging to be put on the schedule with Thanksgiving quickly approaching. On the other hand, I've received 2 emails in the last week from B&R drumming up new business, with the 1st one on 11/9 stating something to the affect of "Spruce up your living room for the holidays...." I had to chuckle, because I thought, "I'd like to just have our lil kitchen moulding completed by the holidays, how are new jobs of bigger caliber going to get done in time?"... I then received yet another advertisement email from B&R just a few days ago on 11/16; but still no follow up to my email from 10/25 or to my call with Jaydon thereafter asking when we'd be put on the schedule. We are at 7 weeks now since I first contacted B&R - very precious time lost that perhaps someone else could've fit us in sooner. We chose B&R because Jason Bailey, the carpenter we are working with, recommended you to us. We understand you're busy, however we don't deserve this and have met every criteria very promptly, which was asked of us along the way. Thus, we ask of you to keep the deposit - we'll call it a "color match consultation"; but, please share the color match formula with us via email here, as an extension of a "we apologize for the inconvenience of such a long waiting period" gift to us, since Lauren did a very good job with it; so I can purchase the paint and complete it myself. Sincerely,

Heath P.

Company came out fairly quickly to provide a quote once I requested one unlike some businesses on here that either didn’t respond to my message or never showed up after speaking with them on the phone. It took them a little while to actually perform the work because of a lot of rain, but it was worth the wait. Deck turned out really nice and I would use Brush & Roll Painting again in the future.

Here is the message I sent Brush & Roll, thanking them for their work: We have a fireplace, banister, and stairway handrail that were painted and/or stained improperly by a previous company. The woodwork was stained golden oak originally, then improperly painted white (by another firm) and stained the wrong color. We have had several contractors visit that deferred these items citing that we should contact experts in that field to fix the mess. We had a couple friends recommend your business. In truth, they stated your business wasn’t the cheapest option. However, they were confident in your firm’s abilities and said it was the best value. WORKER came out (name concealed for privacy). This guy was amazing. First, he spent a bunch of time taping-off to protect areas behind the work area. That was a nice change from the original painters that got paint residue over much of our basement. He was respectful of our house, offered to touch-up the previous contractor’s other mess-up, and was even sensitive about us placing our cat in isolation for the day. I wish he also did carpentry, electrical, and oil changes – we’d hire him for everything. In hindsight, we would have saved money by hiring your group in the first place. We’re now wiser for future projects. Hopefully, someone can benefit from our hard-earned knowledge. As a followup, my wife was at work during the work. I texted pictures to her and the level of contentment in our house rose dramatically.

The best there is - couldn't be happier with everything Bill Carlson and Brush and Roll Painting accomplished for us. Worked with us to accomplish everything we needed done while staying within an insurance estimate. Kept us abreast of potential problems and schedule changes due to weather. Set a reasonable schedule and kept us appraised of necessary changes. All work was accomplished in a professional and highest quality manner. Personnel were professional, courteous, and friendly. I would recommend Bill Carlson and Brush and Roll Painting to anyone desiring a job done right at a reasonable price.

Bill the owner came and gave us an estimate and invited us to come to his show room and shop

to see what they did and how they refinished the doors and drawers.

We got to see the process of stripping the old finish off and applying the new in his shop.

In our home, they took off the doors and drawers and took them to the shop. Then they took and taped

off all the cabinet frame work and sealed off the kitchen with plastic before sanding down the frame work

and refinishing the frame work here in the kitchen. The whole process only took 8 or 9 days.

We were pleased with Bill's response to any of our concerns, and we were pleased with the work they did.

I heard great things about Brush and Roll from a friend who wished she had chosen them for her paint job instead of the crew they went with. We did choose them and I really appreciated Bill and his team. They were professional and honest -- I didn't feel like they were trying to sell us a cheap product or trying to trick us with a sales pitch that we didn't need. Brush and Roll is not the cheapest painter out there, but they spend a significant portion of time prepping your home and I am so thankful we paid the higher price for the quality of work that was done. We even had multiple neighbors comment that they'd been watching our crew and were really impressed with the level of detail and how careful they were as they prepped and painted our home. Every individual I worked with from Brush and Roll was friendly and professional and I feel like they treated our home like it was their own. I will be calling them for future projects when we're ready!
We also had to move our paint job back a couple months from when it was originally scheduled and Bill was very accommodating. Brush and Roll accepts check payments or credit card which I appreciated too. We were able to split our payment (part by check, part by credit card).
I gave them all and quot;Aand quot; ratings except for responsiveness and punctuality (I marked and quot;Band quot;) because sometimes it took a few days to hear back on an email, etc. However this is and quot;the summer of the hail stormand quot; in Omaha so I think that was just due to how crazy busy every single contractor has been! I have no complaints and would recommend them to anyone. We plan to contact them in a year or two for some interior work.

The job was done very well. Everything was kept very clean and the house looks beautiful.
The only issue I have had is that as I have called back to get some touch up done under the warranty, it is really hard to get them to come out. I will call the owner next and see if we can move things along.

The owner was very down to earth and friendly. His various painters were very detail oriented and customer friendly. When tasked to work with our remodelers, Bill was spot on to accomodate us. This company is very professional and I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
