Called Wednesday evening and set appointment for early Friday morning. Technician arrived on time and was courteous, answering all of my questions. Was efficient and didn't try to upsell me unnecessarily. Was in and out within an hour. Cost was pretty good but can always be lower.

I've used Blankman before, the first time being several years ago when I thought I needed a new AC unit.  After having several companies come out to give me an estimate I decided to call one more, Blankman.  Jim came out the next day and rather than just start right in with a sales pitch for a new unit, like the other guys did, he actually looked at the unit and inspected it.  Literally in less than a minute he'd already identified a problem and long story short he had it fixed and working better than it had been.  All of the other guys said I need to replace the old one, and only one of them even bothered to look at it before quoting me a huge price.  Jim had it fixed in 30 minutes for the price of a service call!



So after that I've been calling them for routine things and then yesterday the blower stopped working.  It was Jim who happned to be the one who came out and again, and within just a minute or two identified the problem, a small part that had gone bad, and he had it replaced in less than 10 mintues...and the part was only $25!  He could have easily said I needed MUCH more expensive work done and I wouldn't have known any better. 



I've recommended them to friends and family and everyone always tells me the same thing...they do great work and are as honest as you can be.  In fact a neighbor that saw the truck in my driveway just told me that he'd recently told his parents to call Blankman (after I'd recommended them to him) after they'd been told by other companies that they needed a new AC unit.  And sure enough, Blankman came out and had the problem fixed for under $200....no need to spend thousands on a new one!

I'd used another well known appliance and HVAC repair company before, and without naming names in here, I wouldn't use them to fix my toaster, let alone a major appliace again.  This company is actually the reason I needed my AC unit fixed in the first place.  It hadn't been working well so they came out and put in a new AC fan motor...which wasn't cheap.  It worked ok for a year or so up until that time I mentioned above.  When Jim looked at it he said the motor they put in was the wrong size so it wasn't opperating correctly and causing the unit to work too hard, overheat and actually melted various parts.  I should have called them on the spot and told them to come back out and put the right motor in but to be honest I just didn't want to hassle with it and Jim was able to make adjustments that greatly improved the performance...and that was about 4 years ago.  He also spend time cleaning the AC unit, which the prior company had NEVER done even though I had them service it a few times. 

So....I can't recommend them highly enough.  They are always friendly, professional, honest and I hear the same from everyone who uses them.

Called for service and they showed up on time that afternoon. Serviceman explained the process and my options, he was very professional the area was left clean and I had the instructions needed to run the new Thermostat.

They came out right away. The person who came was clean. He put covers over his shoes to make sure he did not bring in any dirt. He did a thorough job. He did not just check the obvious tings but also checked the other things so that I did not have additional problems.
