Blades and Blowers started in 1995 as a mowing only business. Since that time it has grown into a full lawn, landscape, snow removal and home improvement service company. This simply didn't go well. They were responsive enough to get my business, then delayed time after time after time, then chastised me for not doing some mowing when they were 3 weeks late, but nearly harrassed me when it was time for me to pay them. There's nothing I like better than giving great reviews on Angie's List and helping grow a business, but I can't do it in this case.

In addition to the lawn work performed (this person forgot to mention) all the landscape work that was done. We cleaned up a hillside and back yard; plants, bushes, haul debris and weeds plus mulched all areas. This was done flawlessly. The lawn work in question: the process of removing weeds and getting new grass to grow was explained to client before process started. It did take longer than expected to spray the weeds due to weather conditions (too hot to spray) plus we ended up having to spray weeds three times before we could power rake, aerate, over seed and fertilize. Once lawn was weed free, we contacted the customer telling her we needed her to mow grass (not in bid)and water lawn in preparation for our services. We then came up with a time that would allow for her husband to get lawn mowed and that worked with our schedule. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the agreed time the lawn had not been mowed and the lawn was dry as can be. Despite that, we kept with our agreement and mowed the lawn & trimmed for FREE. A few days after completion we did contact client about payment but payment was clearly explained on invoice (and original estimate) full payment due upon completion of job.

The problem is that I never received the estimate. He emailed me to follow up. I emailed him back and said I never received it and if he could please resend it. I never heard back from him again. I went with someone else instead. He seemed like a very nice guy. He seemed to know what he was talking about. It is hard to move ahead if I don't know how much it is going to cost.

Their service has been excellent.
Description of Work: I hired Blades and Blowers in December of 2009 to handle my snow removal. They did an outstanding job all winter, especially throughout the large snowstorms we encountered. Blades and Blowers also mow my lawn when needed, and respond to my calls or emails very promptly. Their estimates have been very accurate and their prices our very competitive!

I can't say enough good things about Blades and Blowers. They offer an array of services, from seeding to edging to lawn cutting. I have had them to my home several times now for various projects, and each and every time, I am treated extremely well. This company always shows up when they say they will. They take directions from me, and I have never received a bad service from them. Troy Haecke manages the company, and he is friendly, polite, and very knowledgeable. He always calls me back right away if I call him. He is a responsible business owner.
Description of Work: Blades and Blowers is actually the company that comes to our home to do a whole array of outside maintenance for us. The last time they came to my home, they did the edging around my sidewalks. We were very pleased with that service.
